Fiverr SEO - Good or Garbage?

Hey everyone. New to the community, and not the most knowledgeable about SEO. Pretty much just understand the basics.

This may have been answered on the forum somewhere before, but could somebody please explain to me the deal with fiverr seo gigs?

I've seen people on this forum charge for "whitehat SEO" around $350-$450 a month for a set number of links/bookmarks/etc.

Then I go look at pages on fiverr/freelancer selling the same links, but in more than 10x the quantity for dirt cheap? Like practically free? Example: 500+ High PR Links, 100+ Web 2.0 Submissions, etc. I can't post links since I'm new, but I'm sure you guys know the services I'm referring to.

How is this possible? Is it because they're not manual (even if they claim to be), are not safe, and can easily flag your website? I just don't understand the INSANE price difference, countered with the fact that all the reviews on these fiverr gigs are 5+ stars. Similar services are provided on websites like "Freelancer" for ~$7/hr backlink SEO (like Gamit Seo).

Sorry for the long post, but I'm pretty desperate here and can't really seem to wrap my head around all of this. Any input is immensely appreciated, really thankful for your time!

It's not that ALL the people that sell services there don't know what they're doing. It's simply hard to know which guy knows what is saying that he knows. There are some guys here on Black Hat World that sell their services on Fiverr as well and what they offer is of great quality. I stopped buying links from fiverr a long time ago because it was impossible to filter the garbage. Here you will find services of great quality and reliable reviews.

99.99% of it is shit, but beware, some people resell that shit on here for 100x the price.

Forget about 500-links-for-5-usd-deals. They have zero ROI, just because a lot of idiots are doing it and diluete the value. That's why 7-10 years ago to be present in catalogues and site directories paid off (very little competition) and now has zero benefits.

Stick to the basics. Get organic links from quality sites.

Biggest load of bollocks I have read on here for a while. Many many many people are reselling Fiverr Gigs on here at high prices. Services with high prices = more likely to be stung, paying more for the same level of crap.

If you want to find a good service, you have to invest money and time.

If you are took in by the fancy sales thread, beautiful graphs, secret sauce and johnny's one day old account fantastic review, then you really need to learn.

I would not trust half the shit being sold on here. I am actually sick of having to chase work up. I would guess I have wasted a good few k in work that has not even been done, work that I have forgot to check up on.

So well said. Honestly, this is all over this forum. It's really hard to find and pick someone, especially with limited knowledge on the subject matter..

What makes it so difficult is that it often takes months to get proper results, and a lot of reviews are fresh..which doesn't provide much feedback.

It sounds to me like finding a quality seller is just trial and error. Which is really depressing tbh.

Keyword research is the biggest part of the game. Find an easy to rank no comp keyword that pays, and you can rank it with any old shit. Often just and EMD.

Do yourself a favor and create a small site that isn't that significant just for any possible testing, review copies, or cheap
micro services. That way you can judge each micro service for yourself instead of basing a decision on commentary.

I would rather try something than listen to 10 people who tried it. It will also help you distinguish the difference between
good/bad or what works and what doesn't first hand.

This brings back memories of when I first got started with SEO and my journey thread in 2013.
I thought the PR6, $5 link, I got from fiverr was a STEAL. I was SURE it would boost my rankings.

Lol, that link was shit and PR was fake. Now that I know better, I steer clear of fiverr for backlinks.

You should do the same unless you can spot the GOOD offers on that site versus the obvious shit.
