How much would YOU pay for a professional logo?

I just create them by myself, they are not perfect, but they are better than anything i have ordered from designers at past.

Not because I'm that gifted with design, its just hard to find a designer who is able to understand what you actually want... Often people stack a lot of elements into the logo, just like the OP did (no offense there), while in most of the cases the best logo is the simplest one - take Facebook as example, IMHO that "f" is genius.

And I'm going to agree with you on this. It's been so difficult for me to find anyone who is really good at logo design that I've had to be my own designer. Sure I've paid the $5.00 for Fiverr but it's never that good. At this point, I would be willing to pay $100 for a logo, which seems on the low end of what a professional company is charging. Could explain why I always end up with crummy looking logo designs from freelancers.

For something professional I wouldn't go under $20 if I am honest, saying that though I have been known to see some amazing graphics designers on places like Fiverr so they may be good to look into but failing that I wouldn't go too cheap unless you knew it was going to be professional quality.

Going under $20 for a professional logo is crazy. I would be looking more towards $30 - $50 for a professional logo depending on how professional you would want it to be.

There is no simple answer for this. It all depends on the person/ company buying it and what they're looking for.

Do they already have an idea of what they're looking for and are willing to take the first design that's offered to them? If so, $25-50 would seem fair. But, if they're going to want numerous revisions, the price should go up accordingly.

Likewise, where will the final logo be used? I would charge far less for a small, local, doctors office than I would a clothing company who's going to use the logo on their clothes.

The question was about a professional logo...
So many say they buy logos for $15-$30... you probably receive worthless clipart images.

Professional logos are over $250

To become a designer you study 4 - 5 years and 30k - 200k depending on school...
So you think a trained designer would work a few hours or few days for $15?

if your really an professional logo designer, then i will spend you something between 500-1500.

Hi Guys,

Need an idea to price my logo designs at. So the big question. How much would you pay for a professional logo design service?

It varies according to the services you provide. If you are basically offering what fiverr offers, then you should offer a cheap price because it is less valuable. But if you start offering tips on branding, if you start offering many iterations of the logo to make it even better, creating various versions (for white/black background, avatar/icon, and the like), etc, then you are offering a high-quality product that can go for the hundreds or even into 4 figures.

I'm a designer, I don't do logo often but whenever someone is looking I asked a buddy of mine to do it and we split the amount. I normally ask clients for $100. This depends on the client some are not willing to pay that amount. But most of the time it's fine. If the logo needed is more complex like a custom Mascot or something like that, I've had charged up to $650 but it happens once in a blue moon lol. A real big company doesn't mind paying big bucks for something that will represent their brand for a long long time. For blogs or for my own site I would not mind paying up to $100 for a well done logo.

nicdsgn that's a hell lot of amount for only a "logo" D:

That only happens once in a while and usually when a custom art is needed like mascot etc. It also depends on the client.

Here's a recent work of mine that involves a custom illustration (the background I used was stock though)

hxxp://i.imgur.com/MzXqkeC.jpg - This one the client paid $175, that's what I normally charge for this kind of logo/masots

Getting connected to the right clients sometimes is the key for getting paid higher. I guess I just got lucky with my connections coz I've been doing this for almost 4yrs already.

$100-$175 for a logo is actually normal for majority of my clients. Again it really depends with the clients. I guess it's because most of my clients run "real businesses" with real existing companies that really benefits from the designs I make for them and paying $100-$500 for designs doesn't bother them.

$10

the amount of .psd files that you can modify yourself for logos out there are crazy

As a designer myself i won't design a professional and original concept logo for under $100. You can buy cheap and overused logo out there for $5-50 but don't expect too much in return for the output. Others may think designing a logo from scratch is easy but if you are a newbie and only cares for money then you might think of it.

You can still get a quality logo for 30-50 USD if the project is for web use only.

fiverr has them for $5 but the quality is supbar. would pay $25 for real professional quality
