Amazon affiliates journey to a stable income

Good luck. I've found out that 99% of outsourced articles are "meh" at best. Even Natasha Nixon reviews don't fully convince me. If you can write them yourself, always better, your bottom line will increase



Do you really mean Amazon Affiliate accounts or perhaps just tags? I don't see any reason to have multiple accounts. But I see many reasons to use multiple tags within one account. For example, for the reason you described.

That being said, having multiple accounts doesn't seem to be forbidden in ToS. But again, don't really see any reason for several accounts.

Writing 60+ articles (a lot more if my hypothesis is right) by myself would be a ridiculous waste of time for me. My time is better spent elsewhere and their content is good enough.

I manually edit them later on and am planning to create lots of cornerstone content as well. Ordered, but heavily edited by me.

I am working on being a more serious Amazon affiliate myself. After reading this thread I am investing in a good theme that works well/looks good on mobile phones as well as tablets. The importance of making sure my site displays well across devices never occurred to me before so thank you guys for that wake up call.

I've now written several hundred articles for my site. That was the best business decision I made so far

But yeah, if you hate writing, then it's probably better to outsource them. Just saying that if there's any way you can do it yourself, then go for it... Reward will be big.

It's not really about hating it. I just know it's better bang for buck if I make an investment in the content and spend my time on marketing instead - higher return in the end.

I.e. you get paid $5/hour for content writing but you don't have to invest money. You make $25/hour doing marketing and can hire someone to write an article for $5.

Which route do you take? The free one or do you focus on what you do best?

I choose route that gives the best ROI, which has been writing content myself. But can understand outsourcing the articles. It's just that their quality tends to be poor, and low quality content tends to get penalized easier. Great content is better for the long term, although I can't see Amazon Affiliate review sites being very long term anyway. The risk of getting slapped by Google and losing most of your income overnight is big for any AA review site.

But you said you have other sources of income too which makes your position better

Has anyone of you people managed to outrank Amazon listing for a buyer/commercial intent keyword?

I'm having a dilemma.

would "takes money to make money" be applied in affiliate blog sites? I'm willing to drop some money if it'll save me more time, and I can scale from manually working on 1-3 blogs to just investing to build up 10-15 blogs.

What's your take on this? Do you have a formula or approximate balance ratio of how much to spend money on versus time invested on your own?

Hey guys i have a couple of questions for you.

1. I bought a dropped domain with decent stats to use on a possibly big website. Initially, i added 6-7 articles, and all good; they ranked 25-50 as soon as they got indexed. Then i decided to add categories( in the URLs) and rankings plummeted.
Also, when i added 3 new articles, the category page ranked instead of the actual page (The 100 word excerpt on the category page ranks better than the actual 800+ words article). I can imagine this having something to do with link juice getting lost along the way from the root domain to the actual page (I think it's called deep linking).What's your opinion on this matter?

2. Are "best keyword" and "best keyword under xxxx dollars" good buying keywords?

I'm in a similar situation in where I write my own articles. I actually go back to them and update them every once in a while to make sure they are really high quality and full of factual information. I also use PBN links, so what are the chances of a Google slap?

I think i would search for those keywords if i were to buy something. Hell, i'd search for them even though i know i'll get an amazon niche site as a result, just like the ones i'm trying to build.

Hard to say, it depends if Google finds the PBN.

Well my site was getting only 20 daily unique visitors at the most befoer I bought the PBN links. I think most of my competitors are using PBN links and I have no idea how else to boost my SERPs. I am pretty knowledge about onsite SEO and I already optimize as much as I can onsite SEO already. Do you have any other suggestions to rank besides PBN?

i put amazon affiliate links directly in youtube description..muahahaha...there is no other reasons because youtube is the only funnel i use to send the traffics to amazon...

Why not just make a small website and send traffic through that? Sure, your CTR will decrease quiet a bit but you won't get banned every few months. Why redo the mistake you already did? Seems like a idiotic move to me.

You could fake the ref. The visitor gets automatically redirected to amazon from youtube link but through your review site. The visitor will not see the review site but Amazon will see that the ref was from your site.
