Adsense ads not showing on new sites?

How long does it usually take to see your adsense ads on your website?
I'm waiting almost a day.. Any suggestion on some other advertisment option for me as a publisher?

it took me about a week and a half.... just depends on how good you webiste is to its terms of Adsense. dont worry youll get them soon

Are they still reviewing your website? Doesn't sound like it is fully approved if it is showing blank ads.

hahaha , man I was going crazy like 2 months ago , I had my ads placed and nothing was showing , it took me some days to realize I was using adblock on my laptop lol

Yeah man i did the same thing, 3 days before i realized lol. Im stupid at the best of times but shit i had to take a week off to recover from the shame of it lol

I don't know why would you guys have adblocker at all?
I want to see the ads to know what is going on ( to be in the loop ) as IM'ers this is something you probably must follow.

That's why I don't use an adblocker as well.

However, I understand why someone would use one on site's where the ads are too aggressive (video streaming sites are often guilty of this)

Haha no i turned adblock of when i was checking my website. I have Adsense plugin(from google) in my wordpress. In webmaster tools i got green mark, that my site is verifed, but in ad manager i got this: You currently have a host-only AdSense account. Please visit the AdSense help center for instructions on how to show ads on this site.

I really followed the instruction upload xml, choose if i prefer www or without it, i didn't change the targeting, since it is not country targeted.. so basicly i followed those five steps then in my adsense account i have messege about, that first i have to put ads on my site first, for them to verify my website, which i did, today is second day and still nothing, can i do something? Or just wait?

While it might show ads in 48 hours, it might take a week if you site is new. Google's crawler will have to visit your site and determine what kind of ads fit your site the best. Before that you might get PSA ads only If you have no text on your blog, google won't know what kind of ads to show on your landing page and that will be a problem
