Instagram Popular page ?

hello every one , its my first post here and i was wonder if anyone can help me to understand that, on instagram explore tab was always this posts popular in your country or worldwide thing, but now all i can see is " based on people you follow " is that new rules and instagram change it forever or some kind of glitch i have ? i was using some kind of method to hit the popular page and now its only the based on people you follow so thats why I'm asking.

It's been changed to that long time ago but it's not all only about people you follow or pictures you like. I still get "popular in your country", etc.

The account I was talking about was following around 170 people. That used to be my main account. The one that I'm promoting now, I simply don't check the popular page since numbers change every day
