Do I need a US LLC ?

Hi guys ,

If I am planing to launching couple of niche sites targeting mainly US customers , hosted in US , Do I need to know have a US LLC .
I am Australian resident and have a Australian Pty Ltd Company already ?

you would only need a u.s. llc / corp if your doing business in the u.s. OR the money your generating is held/passes through a u.s. based bank.

He's right, the only "benefit" would be for your buyers to see that you are a USA based entity but even that means almost nothing to buyers online anymore.

Your liability is nil and the tax ramifications appear to be the same.

So I can just use my Australian bank to receive income via Amazon affiliates etc ? No need for US bank ???

Correct. You actually are less exposed to tax (income), civil and criminal liability by not having a business in the US. You still might be exposed to sales tax liability, but I can't be certain on that. Even if true, chances of it being enforced upon you would require an agreement between Australia and the US.
