Is using two XML sitemaps worse? Should i go back to one?

Hello,

I have a Wordpress website and i use two plugins to create XML sitemaps.

Plugins:
- XML Sitemap & Google News feeds (https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/)
- YOAST WordPress SEO (built in XML Sitemaps enabled)

I heard having two XML plugins could be making indexing worse for my site?

I have the first one so Google News indexes my site - the other one was recommended by YOAST.

What are your opinions? Is it good? or bad? Or, should i remove one?

Your goal is to present your site to Google in the most structured, clear and logical way ever possible.

With two sitemaps you, in opposite, only confuse Google.

So what's a point?

Also, what do you mean by "Google News indexes my site"? I think you are deadly confused in something. Google News doesn't index any sites. You can submit your site to Google News and if they accept it, they will show your articles in their feed. Otherwise, Google News has nothing to do with your site.

Exactly your are right. Using two Sitemaps hurt my WP site. And Now I am using just one that is by default in yoast.

Yoast is great! Keep using that, work on your content and enjoy!

I have seo by YOAST in my all blogs....i think you should use seo by YOAST only...
