I run an event hosting company with about 1000 regular attendees. I recently purchased twilio to send opt-in subscribers, upcoming event info but realized shortly after purchasing a plan it is not at all what i expected. I was expecting a user friendly platform for which I could give my attendees a phone number to text opt-in and these phone numbers would be added to a subscriber list where I could periodically send them event info.
As far as short vs long code, what ive gathered is that short code allows me to send out far more messages faster and more frequently. Is there more to it then that?
My ultimate question being, is there such a platform that someone with no experience can operate and accomplish what I am trying to do? It will take a while to get all 1000 attendees to subscribe. I am imagining it wont be more than a couple hundred subscribers for a number of months. So I need a plan/platform to send 1-2 texts per week to about 200 members, relatively easily. With preferable automation for keyword replies such as "subscribe" and "STOP".
