Let say, I need the following logo for a US/UK/Canada/Australia based real estate company? https://99designs.com/readymade/logos/8290

Now, my question is if I hire someone from Envato Studio or a Designer and tell him reverse the original design that are shown above and prepare a logo for me. Like increase the height of the left side building and decrease the right side one. As there four different color what will happen if I change the color also or if I won't change the color. Will it violate the Copyright Law?

Thanks in advance.

I'm no pro in copyright but that Real Estate logo looks basic as fuck, so why reverse engineer. You'd be better off using it as a template and just creating a new logo with different windows and building shape or something.

I agree... it already looks extremely simple and uninteresting.. you're better of getting a much more impressive logo made with that money you use to hire someone.

Yup... that's pretty much what I meant, because there is no chance in hell the logo he posted is worth 100$.

Yeah... That's why I say if I hire someone from Envato Studio and tell him to change a little bit or use this a template or ground work then make even better then is there still be remain anything for 99designs for making Copyright or tademark infringement? Thanks all of you for clarifying the issue or for your inputs regarding this.. I appreciate your time and energy. Thanks

Send me ten dollars and I can make you a much better similar design. I can have it sent to you within 1 hour. PM me if you want it

You can use this logo and change it all you would like for free. I just made it for you. It isn't perfect, but it is free and without trademark issues. Real estate ping.png

Just go on Fiverr and pay someone with usable portfolio 5$ with the note you want something similar to this, its basically just 2 transformed objects with window cut outs.

It'll cost you a lot more than $5 on Fiverr these days but yeah for that kind of price, you should be able to get an awesome design. Idea: post contests and see what options you get as far as design drafts go.

Change the front text and you should be good op!

As long as the contest isn't on here. Use Digital point forum they allow contest threads where people show you their efforts then you choose which one you like and pay them. I have had some awesome designs for $20

Looking at that logo you may be better off trying your hand at something yourself. Not only does it look simple, plain and boring but also you could end up violating copyright by doing so.
