I have been working with freelancers & VAs on an hourly or per project basis for some time now and want to take things to the next level.

I am going to be building a team of 4-5, sitting in an office and working full-time.

This would be a big ramp-up in team for me. I anticipate that the team will have a lot of free time initially, till the time I assign tasks and build their skill sets.

I am looking for some suggestions on how to use this time.

Some of the ideas I have are:

- Ask them to build lists of sites for link building targets
- Build fan pages on FB / Build twitter account in a niche by following people and tweeting related content.

The folks I am looking to hire will be non-native English speakers so any tasks related to writing are out of the picture.

It all depends on the type of projects your working on, If its anything to do with App Design etc... You could have for instance graphic designers working on either Game Art for promotion purposes etc.. Or if its for Internet Marketing focus them on building you generic sales pitches for products etc... Like I said though it all depends on what your business is actually doing, Just try keep it within their expertise but also keep it Generic so it can be used when you do bring new projects to the table.

What kind of projects are you using them for? An SEO business? Maybe they could research topics and write up bullet-points for articles so that they are easier to write for someone else. But that depends on how you go about getting your articles and content.

What kind of projects does your business handle? The answer to this question should help you figure out what tasks you should assign to your team during their down time. The ideas you have are fine, but are link building and social media marketing their expertise? I know you aim to build their skill sets, but also give them something that will allow them to do what they do best.

Thanks. I plan to use the team mainly for outreach, maintaining the sites, some SEO including creating PBNs, finding expired domains, building links, etc.
