I have never advertised on FB I have only ever used adwords. How does it compare and is it worth looking into?
Facebook is better for creating brand awareness and Google for getting instant sales
You get what you pay for. Facebook is good for branding but don't expect it to be your main source of income. The same can be said for Google's sales. You want to be able to hook repeat customers to continue to buy from you over and over again, so using both platforms will help you gain repeat customers, the rest is up to your targeting and retargeting sales copy.
It's different from Google search. More like Google display network advertising - it's good for branding. My experience is to teach people on FB or GDN what to google later.
Eg. if you offer 'green java coffee with delivery', than this message should be on the banner or FB ad.
After a while (2-10 weeks), people will use Google search for the search query 'green java coffee with delivery' and some will convert.
So, my advise - use FB to teach people what to search for![]()
