Tips to start campaign

i am about to start my own campaign in google ads.I would like to hear some tips and recommendations before i start the campaign.

Hi, while running a successful AdWords campaign you should pay attention on following things-
Go for location targeting and carefully select region where you want to display your add.
While making ads put yourself in customers side.
Don't do false commitments in your ads. It will increase your bounce rate.
In starting choose as many as possible keywords. Take keywords planner help also. After sometimes you do proper analysis and remove all those keywords which are not performing.
Put your bids approx. 20% more than G-bid.
Follow above steps and try to get good results. Then you will face many specific problems. Then people can help you more specifically.

Add as many negative keywords as possible. Any keywords that your keyword research tool gives you that is not related to your product, add it as a negative keyword. This will help you have higher CTR and QS, which will help you decrease the CPC.

I had a bad experience with campaigns. It seems to be a waste of money. I targeted mine very specifically to its audience and all I received was "Real" Views. I didn't get a single thumbs up or Thumbs down or a single comment. They might as well be selling me fake views. On top of that minutes watched was about the length of time of someone watching the video once.

Are you talking about YouTube or PPC? Seems odd if it was PPC that your primary KPI would be engagement with a video vs. phone calls, lead forms, etc.

Follow below Mentioned Points to Start a Campaign.

1. Keep a Good amount of daily Budget so your ad will be shown frequently throughout the Day.
2. Keep Combination of "Broad" "Exact" "phrase" and "Broad Modified"
3. After running campaign for few days go to Keywords > Details > Search Terms > All : to see which keywords provided you Traffic.
4. Use Conversion Tracking code to see performance of Keywords and Countires.
5. If you don't want to see ads on Mobile then reduce mobile bid to -90%
6. Use Keywords in title, Description and Landing Page for better Quality Score.
7. you can also use Dynamic Keywords for better CTR.
8. Target Countries where you can supply product.
9. Add Negative Keywords at Campaign Level.
10. choose Bidding Option "Manual"
11. choose Location "People in my targeted Location"

hi its great that u r starting a campaign , what type of campaign do u want to start is it for sales or only for promotion business, what do want to promote site or blog in that campaign, first go with cpm my suggestion because u should get recognized through it,,

Find and read Adwords for dummies. No, I'm not being a smartass. It's a very good introductory (though a bit dated) book.

But if you want to get the basic, it's great.

Check on your campaigns frequently. Check your search terms report for new negative keywords. Keep your negative keywords in lists.
