How to monetize a school fête/fair?

Custom printed T shirts , Name engraved Tags for kids.
i say, you should choose something that feels way cheaper and make them to try it anyway.

I like those ideas, but I think it needs to be something I can give to them on the spot at the fair.
I know engraving machines are quite expensive, and I'm not sure if it's even possible to print t-shirts on the spot?
However, I could use a hand-engraver or maybe use iron-on transfers to make the shirts on the spot...

NO,sir.I am not with on site printing.Print it with Mickey mouse photos,Tags like " I am cool" "Me,school boy", "I love my school" etc etc,which suits the occasion.

This is probably my favourite idea of the bunch, but as I suffer from pretty severe anxiety I'm not sure how well I would do with the face-to-face sales aspect, so I'm exploring other options.

You can try hiring some sales people, at least that's I'm going to do now. I'll pay them a % of every sale, depending of how they are doing

By making money, you mean making money for the school right?
If you trying making money out of the school fete for personal gain then expect to get asked to leave and obviously everybody (other kids) giving your little brother a hard time.
This is a fund raising event for the school. Dude, come on. If you do anything more than hand out a few business cards then don't be surprised if people complain.
Most businesses will be donating goods for raffle or people will be volunteering and giving their time for free to support the school.
Don't be a cheap bastard.

It wasn't. Anyway, you should contact the School, PTA and Local Education Authority now, so that you have time to get organised.

Fair enough if you didn't think that was clear, but I'm not sure how I could have done the majority of things on my list without the school's approval.

Like I said in my original post, the PTA has just started the early stages of planning the event - I'm thinking about it now so I have plenty of time to liaise with them.

You can try hiring some sales people, at least that's I'm going to do now. I'll pay them a % of every sale, depending of how they are doing

Thank you! I've been thinking of hiring a salesperson, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it for the amount of money I'd be making. Also got no idea where to start with hiring salespeople. I've thought of going for a presentable, outgoing 6th Form student (17-18 year old) so I wouldn't have to pay too much, but I don't know if there'd be any point hiring someone with no actual sales experience.

Sell the kids some useless cool thing for their FB profile. Perhaps have a set of custom designs printed out and they'd choose on the spot. If you want to be fancy, dress up a guy like a super-nerd with a laptop that will do the changes on the spot.

Have you checked with the school to see if you need a Criminal Records Check?

Unless policy has changed since previous years they don't require any formal checks or paperwork, but thanks for pointing this out

It is unlikely to be required but different school authorities/local councils have different rules.
Some have introduced some bizarre rules like not allowing parents to film sports days etc
