Read the comments on this pin. Pretty much summarizes my experience as member of a big and popular groupboard in the food niche. As far as I can tell, the particular board in which the pin belongs to is/was run and built legitimately thru organic means. Now, I got kicked out just like the commenters on this pin. Last time I posted on this board was 5 weeks ago. I have several groupboards on rotation so as not to look spammy. And just as this board is coming up again, I discovered that I'm no longer part of it, though my pins are still there. Additionally, one of the commenters mentioned 2 other big boards with similar incidence, one of which I was also a member of.

Is something nefarious afoot?

A couple of boards I was in seemed to have disappeared as well, strange... These weren't particularly large boards though and I didn't pin in them very often. I didn't think anything of it, I figured I was just removed for whatever reason. Maybe something else is going on though?

it seems like the link you posted is banned now

Interesting. The board is still there with a few pins having the same complaints. Just to summarize for those who did not get the chance to read the original pin's comments, it seems that a handful of big boards suddenly began booting pinners off. Keep in mind that these boards seems to have been grown organically, at least to me. They probably had heavy promotion, but not through any BH means. Members seem to be legit pinners who pinned enthusiastically for the fun of it. They got kicked out and these active boards suddenly became inactive with no explanation. Usually, a board owner would write a note on the description when changes are implemented. These boards had no notes and many pinners are vocal via pin comments and the one I had pasted is now deleted.
