Someone wants my personal twitter account

Hello members of the black colored hat,

I have been contacted by a social media specialist that wants to run a Twitter campaign. Now, this is my personal Twitter account with my real name and picture on it, but rather a "generically specific" handle (dunno if that makes sense lol) that I chose without much thought and has no real value IM-wise, and she DMed me wanting to "discuss them taking ownership of my account" since she wants to use the handle of my account for her campaign (it's the same as her campaign's name).

I rarely use Twitter and I have less than 10 followers/follows so I have no problem of letting go of that account, however, I'm unsure whether this means I should be discussing selling the account or just give it away, and how much it would potentially be worth if I'm actually selling it; hence this topic.

Inputs are highly appreciated.

Is this just a convoluted way of asking How much is my Twitter account worth?
The account would normally be worth nothing but as you have somebody interested in it then I would suggest asking them How much are you willing to pay for it?
If you remain realistic in your expectations then you might make a few hundred dollars, maybe more if the account/name is brandable (the fact they have named their campaign after it, suggests it might be)
If you don't get too greedy then you could make a sale.

That is exactly what I would be doing... something like, "Sure, I could be interested in letting it go. What would you be willing to pay?"

Not really, I ain't trying to make a long story here, nor am I trying to grab someone else's attention, it's just I never sold online social properties before, that's why I was overly descriptive.

You should do a thorough search of the name to see if there is any buzz over it, check other social platforms, has somebody recently created accounts using that name?
You have nothing to lose with a little negotiation. Try to verify that the person actually works for the company she claims to, before transferring login/account credentials.
Social Media Specialist is a bit of a bullshit title, it could mean she specialises in ripping off social media accounts lol, get at least 50% upfront or use escrow if you decide to deal.

Yeah, it could be due name, try look on google for "yourname" and see how much pages and also check google trends...

Yeah and get payment first, i have sold domain similarly , when random guy is writing, but always upfront...

Agree with doing some research before selling the handle. It could be a person doing a favour for a mom & pop store that has a $50 budget or will just start a new account with a slightly amended name. Alternatively it could be Nike rolling out a replacement strapline to "Just Do It" which they intend to use for the next decade and back with a billion worth of ads.

99% it falls towards the $50 category but better to do some research now that be annoyed later when you see what it is being used for.

PM the name if you want and I will tell you if it is worth anything. I have purchased several vanity Twitter handles for clients. Some brands will break out the checkbook - Twitter is the best social platform for businesses that can't sell just via images (Instagram). Don't give it away if it has potential. Thank you all for your inputs, I'm still waiting on her reply.

In the meantime, I did some research for trends and other social accounts, and I haven't found anything interesting really. It does seem like the mom & pop kind of deal afterall lol. I'll keep you guys posted if I hear back from her.
