Full Time BlackHatter!!!

I actually have a Bachelors Degree in Marketing but I make a hell of a lot more doing IM than I would at a 9-5 job and with this I can take a few months off and still be earning good money

i dropped out after sophomore year and haven't looked back...

Thats what the situation is looking like for me... I want to take a semester off to do BH and get some $$$ in my pockets but my parents said im cut off and getting kicked out if i take a break...so if i make some bank during the summer, im dropping out and doing BH for a few years, then maybe going back...being a Finance major and having to take bs courses like shakespear and public administration = not my cup of tea...i could be doing something better in my youth rather than learning poetry and memorizing presidents as a prerequisite for finance classes.

lol so true...i m takin wine tasting, midevil literature, and history of art...as a senior finance major...i feel like i studied so hard for tests...and i got nothing to show for it...

School isn't useless, you need to pick out the useful information from all of the junk. I learned a few valuable life lessons which have helped me along the way, this was well worth the cost/time alone.

What would you do if the Internet went down tomorrow?

Seems you are contradicting yourself, you said you don't wanna work and just "rather have a house by the beach, and trips to atlantic city weekly and trips to nyc bars randomly" how are you gonna achieve that without working and get the $$$ you need to do that? Seems to me you want easy money, quick bucks.

I do agree you can earn much much more over the internet, but if you aren't willing to work your ass off, chances are you won't get much. And personally I would still keep my 9-5, you know why? I like to have a social life, not just with friends but with coworkers (kinda like friends) and the gossip, the office politics, you don't get that by sitting at home earning your $$$. Again I know we can earn so much in IM, $$$ isn't everything, I rather experience different things in life than just loads of $$$

This might sound bullshit but there are things money can't buy, but if you are ok with just money then, by all means....

just my two bytes

I don't ever want to work for anyone else, but myself.

2k a month to start out would be fantastic.

Hopefully anyone who aspires so can get there...

Unfortunately, your statement of not wanting to work and yet become an internet millionaire is absurd.

It is work, sometimes it is really hard work, other times it takes nothing at all to keep it going, but the keyword here is "going"... you already did all the work to achieve what you desire from it - and then you maintain it. If you feel like "working" some more, you do it again and again.

Either way, it is a shitload of work and education and keeping abreast... Not wanting to work does NOT go hand in hand with IM - whether BH or WH. Nobody I know who has made it nicely online has ever told me it was no work at all... eau contrair -

It may require different skills than WalMart or Burger King, but it is work, just the same.
(gotta love it though)

you are correct, you cant rely just on your computer, you have to have real world skills.
i would love to sit on my computer and make a living that way and i know it is possible but i would need something more stable for when i had a family.

You need real world skills no matter how much you hate working for the man,

im going to college for business and entrepuneurship.
Start my own business, online and offline, and be MY OWN BOSS

Not just the backup plan, but the experience of living without your parents and working alongside your peers.

You can't get that sitting in your basement doing IM. Sorry, IM is great, but it's not the Jesus of Jobs. It's not perfect.

that's why, in my opinion, we should maintain BOTH IM income as well as a 9-5. Provided you have the time and energy

Im a 4 year college droput I just regret wasting so much time on it

LOL online u can make tens of thousands every month ... can a real job give this to u unless u are Bill Gates
nothing wrong with online. Just the OP wasted all this time picking a shitty degree.

Why do people assume that you don't have to work in order to make money online? Then they open a thread and start crying about the lack of money. Online work is still work. You just don't get to report to anyone and you get to work from the comfort of your home. There is no easy money online.

Hey, first, I didnt pick a shitty degree...it just turned out that when i graduate..the finance world would be in the crapper....and whos crying???? just talking about my thoughts...This is the lounge people..it should be critcizim free....+ i know there is work involved in IM...but its way better to get paid what you are worth....rather than letting the man decide what you are worth

Correct me if i'm wrong but, I assume criticism is part of the "anything goes" for Lounge. Aren't we all talking about our thoughts on this as well? If you can't take criticism then please don't bother posting here.

"BlackHat Lounge What?s been on your mind lately? Maybe you've come across a website that made you laugh. Almost anything goes here!"

well its not that much easy to make money online , sometimes you get success that you luagh all the way to bank , but sometimes you make nothing ad then run away from your debt collectors.
with a degree and a job , you make sure that you have some constant source of income and not just relied on one source , that is online which is too risky.
