It's a nice traffic source but as people said before, don't get to attached to your accounts. More likely than not they'll ban you, so take it as a number's game.

Create 5 accounts, get followers, posts aff links with only once of those accounts, reblog with the others, at the same time create new accounts and start sending them followers.

I've found 5 accounts/proxy is ok. I've tried pushing it to 30 account/proxy and all of them got ghosted (not banned)

Does your VPN have to be the same all the time? I keep rotating for every account, never really tracked which account is using which VPN. Is that good/bad?

I wonder whats their problem with people doing affliate marketing but promoting sites for ad revenue is totally okay lol.

It's because the way they promote their offers. Way too spammy for their liking. I've seen legit tumblr accounts promoting affiliate products without any problems. The thing is, they offer real value to their readers.

So basically if one does like 100 pics of cute pets in a row over a day or two and then offers a review of a pet related product with a affliate link to the product it will be considered a legit tumblr?

The annoying thing is that you never know.

Some people seem to have more affiliate reviews/links than that - meaning a smaller ratio of content:links - and their blogs never get touched. Others can have a million pics of cute animals and then one tiny ad somewhere and then, BAM! Their blog is gone.

It's really up to how the staff sees the blog that day. There is no consistency to count on.

Maybe White label affliate would have a better ratio when it comes to evading bans on tumblr
