The good news: A colleague has been running serpify.me for 5 keywords (free version) and it has helped rankings for 4/5 of them.

The bad news:
- For the free plan, the on-site time is pretty bad, in fact it *lowered* our average in Google Analytics. They advertise up to 2 minutes but it's rarely over one minute. I have multiple ways of verifying this apart from GA.
- I tried taking over this from my colleague but get blue screen crashes on a pristine Windows 8.1 laptop with 4GB RAM (latest version 2.0.1) with essentially nothing else running!

Overall I still think this is worth it and plan to test out a paid plan if they can fix the crashing. Interested to know though what amount of RAM is necessary on VPS plans to run this?

going to try the free version and see what its like, thanks

I will try it out and write a short review :)

Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

The good news is really good. Thanks for the update.

We are actively looking into this, I believe you have opened a support ticket for the BSOD, this is likely a machine specific conflict as no other users have reported it yet. A couple users have reported crash incidents since 2.0.1, but that is to be expected. We're always doing our best to fix any known issues in a timely manner. We will have this sorted in 2.0.2 most certainly. As for the free users not getting at least 2 minute visits, we watch our browser work in the development environment and can confirm it stays on the site for at least 2 minutes, it may be less than a minute on the first page, but not positive. Will look into this regardless.

Let us know how it goes!

I have a question regarding the "autobrowse" feature. Will it click on cloaked affiliate links and if so, might there be a possibility to turn off browsing for specific url paths in the future? And how is it with Adsense, do I get clicks on Ads as well? Do I need to turn off Autobrowsing in my case?

Quick question to op...how`s this service any different to that being offered by pandabot.net?

Also, how many users do have in this network to make this software`s lP pool diverse enough?

Thanks.

A quick update. I am going to classify the crash/BSOD as "machine specific". It was solved by changing a BIOS setting, although then again no software except Serpify ever triggered it (not even CPU/memory stress test utilities). But still, resolved without any upgrade so I'm giving a pass.

I also do extensive server side logging and alerts and can confirm a good diversity of origin countries (assuming that's what you want).

One thing I noticed was that the number of client JS errors on my site have really shot up (I have a client side "black box" utility to capture them from every visitor). Whenever I manually investigate, I see they are nearly all from Serpify clients (pretty obvious due to the abnormal user-agents strings, the entry pages, they come from Google, and they browse in weird directions). My *guess* is this may be caused by a bunch of old Windows 2003 or 2008 VPS with old IE?

Another thing, and tied to the above, is that the browsers *do* seem fingerprint-able, i.e. if Google wanted to put effort into detecting it, they probably could pretty easily. It wouldn't be so bad if the "botnet" was comprised of 100% residential computers running updated IE.

Another problem is I've started getting captchas from Google when searching from my regular computer on the same network as the Windows box running Serpify. i.e. Google does detect automated activity from my residential IP.

A final concern is how easy it is to generate utterly unrealistic CTRs. i.e. there's no check in place stopping you generating a 99% CTR on a term you only rank 199th for. I'm trying to be careful, but it's so easy to not be careful that I worry this will quickly get flagged to Google by many users. If I were serpify, I'd want to stop people blowing themselves up in front of Google and drawing attention to the whole service. Not to mention that unrealistic CTRs aren't likely to help you at all. It would actually add huge value if serpify themselves took control of the frequency of searches - based on the existing SERP rating - and perhaps only allowed people on the most premium of plans to go nuts and set their own limits.

So my conclusion so far: As best as I can tell, this does work, if volumes and CTRs are done right. But, I worry this will blow up soon unless (a) there's greater diversity of browsers, (b) huge reduction or elimination all the legacy IE, and (c) limits in place to stop people generating unrealistic CTRs. But until that happens, I'd definitely recommend this.

Only IE is currently used? When do you plan to add Chrome and FF?
If there are cloaked affiliate links on the site, do you shomehow prevent clicking on these?

Version 2.0.1 is very unstable and keeps crashing, haven't had this with previous versions.
I use it on windows server 2008 and the client crashes just a short time after running it.
Submitted a ticket about it.

Also it would be better to add more user agents and not use only IE.

very nice thread and I'd love a review copy if available.

I know seomaggic is just a forum spammer but in case anyone else reads that, just go download download the free version.

Update:

I've been unable to test this much further as my (paid) account is blocked from adding new keywords even though I'm not using the full 25. Also means I can't adjust any existing campaigns too (deleting then adding also fails, so I can only go backwards). Awaiting a resolution (6 days and counting) before I can really test any more.

Hello,
I purchased your $99 plan last Thursday, contacted your support email and created a trouble ticket regarding receiving my password for the account purchased with zero feedback from your team. Here is the paypal ID number for the purchase: ID #4DA65590292742222. Please let me know when I should expect to hear anything from your team.

I am also experiencing Serpify not responding to tickets (my issue is unresolved for over a week now). This is not a good sign - hope they haven't gone out of business!

I am not sure what is going on with Serpify, I am on the free plan and have been averaging 13 searches a day, when I should be averaging ~ 40....Thoughts?

I have the following concern:

I've been using the free version of Serpify for 3-4 months now. I choose to test a long tail keyword consisting of 4 words which get very very little traffic and I added to it another word - so basically i have a 5 words, long tail keyword which I'm using with Serpify. Given the fact that the 4 word keyword gets almost no traffic, I assumed that my 5 word keyword would atleast show in the Google Suggest when you type it, after using Serpify for 3-4 months now. However that is not the case. It doesnt even show when i start to type the 5th word itself. Can you please tell me what is the case. Either Serpify is not working as it should (at least for the free version) or I'm missing something. I hope I was clear in my description. Thank You.

I still can't get a response to tickets, whether old ones or new. In fact, their ticketing system no longer even emails a confirmation of ticket submission (with ticket ID) like it used to. I checked an existing ticket via its ticket ID and found no updates there from Serpify either, so it's not an email thing. i.e. they actually aren't replying to tickets at all. Wondering if Google has shut them down somehow and they've abandoned ship? Not sure it's worth the risk anymore if the service is somehow compromised.
