Hello guys. Actually I have already started my journey a week ago but I am posting this so that it can help me stay motivated. I had bought the EMD+hosting few months ago when I was very new to IM. I am still a learner, but over the 2 months I learned a lot by reading about ranking websites and keyword research.
Because I had already bought the domain which was a exact match domain, later I realized (now) that my keyword research was not very correct. But because this is going to be a micro-niche site and I have already spend the money for domain and hosting, I am just going to continue with this.
So rather than trashing this website, I am going to rank it to earn at least $10. I know it's less but it won't matter to me. I get a lot of practical experience and If I succeed I probably get some money to invest in my next project.
Few Details -
1 - Very Less competition on main keyword.
2 - 2nd and 3rd important keywords are dominated by E-commerce sites (amazon, target, ebay). Now I really not sure if this is a good thing or bad, so if someone out there with experience, please comment below.
3 - Wordpress site, Genesis Framework. Design is ready with logo.
4 - Already written 600 hundred words for homepage. I know this is very less but yes I am going to add another 600 words. Also homepage is static. Here I have reviewed the product.
5- About, Contact and Privacy Policy pages added.
6 - Product is from amazon. This is where I made a mistake. Price is ONLY $65-$80 so I am not going to earn much for every sale.
7 - Planning to add 2 more articles to the blog on my site once it's in top 20.
8 - Not going to spend ANYTHING on link building.
9 - Slowly and steadily will create web 2.0s.
Good News (According to me..)
I had submitted the website to google 3 days ago, it's fully indexed and is ranking on page 8 - No. 84 already. Page 3 on yahoo and Page 4 of bing.
I don't know this is okay or 'good' but I am taking this positively. No links created yet.
Spent - $60 (hosting and domain)
Earnings - $0
All the experienced veterans (newbies welcome too!) here please feel free to share and comment anything which may (or may not) be helpful to me or others reading this.
P.S - I will update this every 2-3 days.
