Youtube accounts linked with google

From 7th May YT linked the accounts with google. So that means, that if I register gmail, then with that user/pass I can upload videos to YT? Havent tried it, but it would be great, as no verification needed.

Unfortunatly this linking caused my custom YT soft crash, as it cant upload videos through YT API. Shows the error, as YT account is not verified. Old account upload works fine (created before May 7th changes). Anyone who knows what YT exactly changed in source, please PM me.

As well have someone experienced problem with this on some other uploaders?

You sign in with either your YT user name or your Gmail-account.

In both cases you need to use the password from the Gmail-account.

that I understand, but question from me is different:

have Youtube changed API user login source code? If someone have custom made application, then probably should get the same error, that "account is not verified"

I am not talking about youtube real page login, but login through api.

I don't think there's anything great about G & YT's merger. And I wouldn't use their API, if I were you. Everything you do is tracked back to your key. I do automation but strictly through the browser. I think it's safer.

Fire Uploader and Tube Mogul is down too for YT new accounts, so looks like global problem.

I think it's a good thing, because they have disabled captcha now. So much easier to make accounts.

The thing is, you still have to register for both... So either you get a msn an account, create a youtube account verifying it through your msn.

Or you have to create a gmail account, THEN signup for a YT account and link the two.

It is a bit of good and bad for me. On the downside i used to create 10 YT accounts per email. You can actually upload dupe vids so i would have 10 accounts with all the same videos on them. 10 times the chance of getting a viewer

On the upside now that i have to create a new gmail each time, when one account gets banned it doesnt send a tidal wave of bans through that gmail account.

Interestingly enough, the other day i tried to create a gmail and it was requireing phone verification.... I cleared my cookies and it worked fine, but i think there must be a set limit on creating accounts per day per computer.

I uses VideoPut to uploader to Youtube. Now it only works with old account! That's suck.

im having the same problem. I cant use my new accounts on my custom soft. old accounts work fine. anyone found a fix yet?

when i upload video using a new YT acct (old gmail acct) my video didnt appear at all!
although the status is live. anyone facing the same problem?

old Gmail account is same as new Youtube account. Only old Youtube account still works well :squint:
