Just a tip on a great meditation

We both know you are the one avoiding the truth.

Back to the analogy where meditation is driving (towards the sea, hopefully) and 'enlightenment' is swimming:

You've been driving the car, that's all. You're excited because you've pressed the accelerator pedal and made the car go faster.
But driving is not swimming. Just as meditation is not 'enlightenment'.

But meditation is the journey, not the destination.
Practising your driving skills (meditation exercise) will only make you a better driver - it is not learning to swim.

I like your analogy, however we are dealing with attention, and doesn't having the "right" attention help cultivate enlightenment? Don't we(most of us) have to gather enough attention through meditation to go deep enough to experience enlightenment, if we choose to? Don't we need enough attention to learn how to swim?

All i have to say is that bhw is like tons of forums in 1.
You can discuss and have an actual discussion on topics from IM to meditation and anything in between!

@BnB: Dude you are right about meditation and it's true meditation involves no thoughts but at the same time there are tons and tons of ways that meditation itself can help you in MANY areas of your world. A clear example is the Silva Method. Its all about meditating and creating the best world you can :)

Im willing to c9ntinue the discussion so feel free to keep going :)

would really like to try your meditation and SPQRs WILD-method and I will do it for sure do.
But one question, how do you guys manage not to fall asleep or get distracted? Especially in the mornings I always have to take care not falling asleep, but if I try to meditate later, I get more easily distracted - and if I try to concentrate on my then, it distracts me from my actual meditation/ mantra :)

Don't worry about getting distracted, etc... because it's natural to lose focus when first starting. Just keep practicing. As for staying awake, the best way to prevent that is to go into the lotus position. The main reason there are asanas is to prevent people from falling asleep (as well as cut of certain nadis and concentrate/stimulate energy in certain locations).

It's more subtle than that.

When you meditate, your intention initially is to 'still' your mind. But thoughts continue to happen. They bubble up constantly and it's easy to get distracted by them. The distraction happens when you pay attention to them.

When you say 'having the right attention', in a way that's correct, but it's more like paying attention to not paying attention.

Your intention is to get 'deeper', to pay no attention to the thoughts but at the same time, to follow them 'down'.

Somewhere down there, is a place where the thoughts begin. And where the thoughts begin is where you begin. It's where your ego, your self emanates from.

Meditation is the vehicle you drive to get to that place. Meditation is the journey towards it.

But that's not 'enlightenment'. That's just the doorway. And getting there is the easy part.

To get through that door, you can't take your meditation, or your thoughts, or your attention with you.

On the other side of the door, if you can get through it, there are no thoughts, there is no ego, there is no self and there is no 'you'.

What to do if i got bullsht protection on? It's on because i want to stay in reality. How do i turn it off?

Meditation has been problematic with me, I guess i am bit too hyperactive, will definitely give it a try and post back

One of us is speaking out of personal experience and genuine practice over many years. The other is pulling stuff out of his ass that he read in a colorful book somewhere or paid $X,XXX to a "guru" to learn. Guess which one you are.

This is very simple. I absolutely hate it when people try to teach others stuff they only read about and have no idea or experience with what they are dealing with. I ONLY ever talk about things I *PERSONALLY* know can can verify. Unless you are an enlightened being, I'd recommend not giving any advise to anyone about what it is and how to achieve it. I certainly don't. I have no experience with enlightenment, ego dissolution, or anything related to that. I have experienced empathy with certain objects to the point where I felt like it was part of my body. That's all I can say.

That's an awful lot of ego and anger you have there Pewep.

Pewep, what exactly are those "fire serpents"?

Thanks
I'm pretty excited to share this with you, so essentially this sounds like a very simple meditation but it really works wonders.

While lying down, just visualize a very bright white light above you and feel the love, forgiveness and empathy in it. Then feel it flowing down into your belly button all the way down into your spine. When it hits your spine area, visualize it dissipating into your body like a spiderweb of light, healing and soaking into your body. Do that for 50-90 minutes continually.

Did it today and I'm absolutely chuffed to bits because I reached a bit of a milestone. Was able to feel strongly the energy in my root chakra, lower dan tien (swadhisthana chakra), my manipura chakra, heart chakra, third eye and crown chakra. Very excited to be at 6/7 major energy centers online because at 7/7 I'll finally be able to draw in the fire serpents into my body.

Try it, it feels like a deep, cleansing internal bath, absolutely great. You don't have to be religious or anything, but personally I also chant the name of my God(s) when doing it.

I can explain in detail over pm, but basically kundalini is not one but multiple fire serpents. It is a real, physical sensation that actually moves around the organs in the body and feels like a big hot fire snake making 3 coils counter clockwise in the abdomen then going all the way up. It will either settle in the third eye or it'll go further and burst out of the crown chakra.

With clairvoyance, it is clear to see that there are actually multiple snake like things working through each chakra and I'm 99% sure that's correct because when they come out of the crown, they appear to look like 100-1000 different little snakes (like a medusa). They can point to anyone you're thinking about, form patterns that correspond to thoughts, etc... lots of stuff, some I can't even mention here. This is actually a pretty big topic but yeah, I intend to do that soon. I'll need to go on a water fast for 2 weeks though + just purify myself otherwise it can straight up kill a person. However, raising it = an immediate 10-50 fold increase in psychic abilities. Not permanent, this is only while in the ascended state. You still come back down, but it gets easier to reach that superhuman state with practice.

Not to sound corny but this is the only way I can honestly relate it in english - words are just metaphors - but it's like the human version of super saiyan lol.

lol, the funniest thing to me is that spiritual focus is completely different from physical focus. It's basically like meditation - you have to be calm, clear minded and concentrating while not actively concentrating. It's so hard to describe it but I think most people know what I'm talking about. It's like being fully immersed with the task at hand and being aware of it and nothing else.

WOW!! Just a quick final update on this thread - holy crap, I am perpetually amazed by how powerful this meditation is.

I felt my throat chakra today - VERY strongly. It was actually downright painful - like a hot, hot fire was radiating from my throat. I can still feel it like a constant pressure. To be quite honest, the way I'm feeling right now, my chakras have me feeling like I'm stoned or something, holy shit I'm tripping, oh my God. Like novacaine was just injected into my brain.

Anyway, this is what I did: standard stuff, put on my favorite meditation beat and drew energy into my manipura chakra (belly button). I decided to mess around a little bit and instead drew energy into my third eye, shot it down my spine and KEPT it there. Took a total of around 50 minutes and that's when I got a HOT sensation in my throat. At one point I almost gave up, because it really did hurt, but stuck with it. Good stuff.

I am absolutely blown away by how effective this is. Guys, really give it a go, it's...well... pretty great.

Alternately, it could well be a throat inflammation... the chilled beer you had 2-3 days back can be the cause. Or the Mexican hot food can do similar damage within minutes or hours.

:)

I guess that you're 7/7 Pro version now!
