Some of it is direct, and some to tiers, Mark. It is all pretty pure stuff though... not BH as we all know BH to be.

I'm not one of those Black Hat SEO guys that went to White Hat because it was another way to bank; I've always ranked sites using WH processes and never offered a BH process as a service as that does not fit into my mindset.

It is plenty safe for a quality money site that you have a long term vision for as that is what we want to see... long term rankings.
