Can someone explain to me why it's not ok to mock someones religious beliefs ? Why is religion different from everything else ? Seriously, I'd like to be enlightened..

I welcome criticism on every aspect of my life, I want my beliefs to be questioned. That way I can logically analyse whether what I believe is true or not, and therefor I can improve as a person.
