I just came across a channel on YouTube where this person is stealing almost all videos from Jenna Marbles, without even editing the videos, and it seems that everything is going fine and he is getting Millions of views, not thousands.... not just that, the cloned videos even rank when you search "Jenna Marbles" on YouTube. Well I'm a little dissapointed to see how a theft like this is going on so openly.
have a look :

My question is :
Is this allowed ? if yes then why do people here get copyright strikes when they do the same thing ? or may be Jenna Marbles is very generous or may be she does not know which I think is highly impossible for being one of the highest earners on YouTube.

what are your thoughts guys ?

P.S. This post is not to encourage any kind of stealing from anybody nor do I support it, I'm just curious how is this happening thats all.

It most likely isn't allowed.

I also noticed that he hasn't uploaded in about a year. If you want you can flag his videos and channel, that might get YouTube to remove them,

Yeah I've seen this with a few other larger youtube accounts, I'm not too sure what to tell you really. Maybe jenna's dmca team isn't screaming loud enough at youtube to get them off?

If you read his about page you will find this:

"Hey, this channel started out as a page where I could post videos that were flagged as inappropriate (for some reason) by YouTube. Since then, the first few videos have grown extremely large (over 1,000,000 views, thank you!), and my subscriber count is constantly growing larger and larger. I decided I could use the channel as a support channel and take advantage of the amount of subscribers and views I already have. I decided to start uploading videos by my favorite people to help support them. Therefore, I do not own any of these videos!"

Yes, support them...by stealing their videos and, accordingly, their views. Sounds legit.

That's actually very impressive. I should try this with pewdiepie. Just re upload all his shit to like dailymotion and pretend i'm him or something. LOl

Good idea! :-D

I will sell music albums I download from torrents and if someone asks I do this just to support the artists I like ;D
But money I earn will stay with me!

If you look at the discussion tab of his channel, it seems people know about the theft, they are angry and they are already flagging, how come its going on and on since 2.5 years now ?

now how convenient is that ? what a sad excuse :/
Its like, oh i don't own the videos i watch everyday on YouTube but i like them and want to support them so lets steal everything and re-upload, and make money, that is supporting alright.

Right now, 47 different BHW guys are in the process of setting this up and replicating the process using 147 different YT accounts.

What the duece ? How is that possible ? I would also think that his account would be shut down if he "steals" vids to make money with the YT partnership program. So how is this possible ?

Obviously it's not allowed because it is against YouTube ToS. But if he have a permission from Jenna then it's all good.

I did a little digging and I found out that all of his videos are monetized. Though all Jenna's videos are claimed by JennaMarblesBuser. Which means Jenna will still earn money from all of her content on that channel.

I'm pretty sure that Jenna registered all her videos on her CMS so that even if someone reupload her videos she will still earn money from them. Maybe that's why she doesn't care?
The only advantage of this method is the reuploader can gain subscribers, promote and monetize different stuff. And that's what DicksDen is doing.

CASE CLOSED.
