Regarding this, you can re upload, but you can't display ads and CNN holds right to take down your video any time.

This. Simply zooming the video image in with an editor can help dodge the YT bots.

Even if you crop the video and change the audio pitch, I'd say the video still only has a about a 50/50 chance of survival.

I know for a fact that Discovery hunts down their content that others have uploaded and manually files content ID claims.
