Google update an hour or two ago?

I'm 100% with you - this is a rollout that's not finished yet. And I would also agree that it's, at least in part, a Penguin 3.0 rollback. I've checked several sites that were hit by 3.0, and each of them, after this update, have significantly shot up in rankings.

When connecting to Google.com.au via Hide-my-ass, and via any US based node on my secure VPN, I'm seeing a very different set of search results to those that are visible in Australia. That to me indicates that it is indeed an update, and it's still rolling out.

Interestingly (but not surprisingly) mozcast isn't really detecting this - however, http://algoroo.com/ is showing pretty high volatility.

why would you need to check via vpn or hma? Simply tag &gl=au on the end of your results. Bang your looking at Australia.

Did anyone notice this? When you type in a keyword, past searched keywords are no longer displayed at the bottom of the page. WTF!

A site of mine hit by Penguin 2.0 up big in SERPs today. Went from 4 phrases that I track that were in top 50, to 10 phrases in top 50 (7 of them top 20). Interesting.

Could just as easily be back down tomorrow.

My keywords have partially recovered from bottom page 2 to top of page 2 and bottom of 1. Each day over the past week noticed things going back and forth so i hope things will become more stable soon.

All sites I'm tracking are back to where they were right before Thanksgiving. I saw several sites bouncing from page 1 to position 300-400 from Thanksgiving until last night. This afternoon everything seems to have settled to where they were before Turkey Day.

Had a site coming back from being in the 100-200 range for about 10 longtails for months back to the top5 spots for all keywords. All of them are longtails with low volume but highly converting. Didn't build a link to that site for months, it has nothing but spam to it... time for testing!

About 20 of my sites that took a dump are now ranking again p1 for 70% of their kw's. I have a feeling this is just a screw up and they will dive again within the next 7 days.

Finally, I got 2 sites affected. Seems like they are doing something very slowly and I'm not sure.
First site, it got SMARTLY negatively SEO'd by someone a few months after I bought the domain and I didn't recover all the rankings but I did recover most of them, especially for 'buying' keywords.
The second site is over 6 years old and never been penalised but it jumped 10-50 positions for the 10-15 keywords I track.

I really don't think it's the reverse of penguin 3 but I agree with some that it's penguin 3.1 which kind of trying to clean up the mess after negative seo. That's just my own opinion.

I had 130 search queries for social media site very targeted. On 27 nov all drop some keywords gone complete now maybe 30 or so left. Some still going down some stabilize and going up green slowly. Anyway i hope this be ok soon. Google b1tch

I agree with tony_d and I posted this earlier as well. My websites that were penalized on October 16, came back on 1st and 2nd pages before thanksgiving, they disappeared again 3 days ago but are now back on 1st and 2nd pages again.

One thing I noticed that, not all SERP trackers are showing the rankings and I am unable to find my website on G00Gle.com.

There's no way this is an update or even a rollback - its literally Google just f'ing with everyone.

Website 1 - Quality Link Building: Some of my search terms are back to where they were previous to Penguin hit. There are still search terms I haven't seen movement from. I did make a heavy attempt to have links removed and submitted a disavow for the ones I couldn't remove. I feel as though I missed some toxic links since all keywords didn't recover.

Website 2 - PBN and Web 2.0: Didn't recover at all and is still sitting around page 6 onward. I did make an attempt at recovering the site and submitted a disavow file. Nothing yet.

Website 3 - Pure fucking spam: This site is pretty much dead. Most keyword not seen anywhere with others around page 7 onward. Still indexed though. I don't even want to attempt a recovery with this one, way too much shit going on.

Website 4 - PBN links from BHW sellers and GSA: Gone.... Completely gone. Still indexed but no keywords anywhere. Not even a shit alexa score.
