Careful with Hostwinds. Although their support and hosting is great, their policy regarding refund sucks big time and they might just keep your files hostage (and cancel your other accounts with them) until you pay them a ransom. #truestory

Also, you'd do well to register your domains elsewhere.

Aside from that, I have no other issues with Hostwinds. It's fast and everything, but they have a tendency to hold your files and domains hostage.

If you could PM me with some more info on this, I would be more than happy to investigate this for you. I am not aware of any circumstances, where we refused to give a client backups, even if they did not pay their bill.

i am unfortunately using godaddy for my hosting.

i purchased a couple of new sites that increased the load considerably.

i contacted godaddy and I upgraded to their managed VPS, BUT it was not that managed. The sites did not load and they said I need to instal this instal that.

im NOT technical so told them to get lost!!!

can you advise, is your product totally managed by YOU so I don't have to touch the server side?

can you transfer my files and databases to your hosting?

If we offered you enterprise DDOS protection, it would be because your site was directly attacked. with a UDP amplification attack in excess of 10Gbps. You can either pay for enterprise grade DDOS protection, or you can wait 24 hours for the null route on your IP to be lifted.

We have these security measures in place in order to protect our other clients. If we were to lift the null route, it could potentially cause downtime for our other users, who are not being targeted by DDOS attacks.

I just checked our edge routers, and there are currently no null routed in place, if your website is still down, then please contact support, or send me a PM.

This DDOS attack has nothing to do with us, or any attacks perpetuated against us. This would be an attack specifically targeting you, and your IP address.
