The 301 redirect will pass most of the link juice on, and this could help your rankings. But as other have said, you want to make sure this domain has a clean backlink profile.
The problem with Moz metrics is that they are easily inflated by spam. Check the Majestic Trust Flow and Citation Flow, if the Citation Flow is much higher than the trust flow, like 2x or more then this domain is not good quality to be using.
The fact that most of the anchors you have found are generic keywords is very suspicious, I have to say. Because generic keywords usually only make up a very small percentage of an anchor text profile.
