Nigerian Scammer Cash

Please tell me that there is "no one" taking this crap seriously to begin with....The whole thing just "Screams" scam...I get them in my junk file and that is where they will stay! In regards to your suggestion of turning the tables on them so to speak...I did find quite amusing. Great Post!

Oh governor

Awesome! I really want to go after these scammers and turn the tables on them.

And isn't it possible that there are ppl out there using ips from Nigeria just to hide their own asses? US still have more of those going around than Nigeria, let's be fair

hahahaha, I love it, this is genius, although yeah, I can't see it converting well... I'm considering using this with my own spin on it... got a lot going on IRL right now though, so for now it's just a bookmark...

JUST discovered this thread. I apologize for raising it from the dead, but I have to say a few things:

1. WOW! This is absolutely amazing. I've been "scambaiting" Nigerian Scammers for about three years now, and I've NEVER once thought to implement anything like this on them. I'm going to definitely implement this method!

2. Definitely check out TheScamBaiter.com as well as 419Eater.com for stories of users having fun with Nigerian Scammers. The admin of TheScamBaiter has been able to convince them to pay thousands upfront in legitimate cash for freight shipments that were weighted down with literally bricks and destroyed equipment such as butchered monitors, washing machines, and trash cans. One of his biggest accomplishments has to be convincing a Nigerian Scammer that, in order to sell his fake laptops, he has to hang a laptop from his *balls* and photograph it while holding two sticks of fire on top of a chair. It's absolutely crazy what lengths these people will go through if they're convinced that you're a gullible victim.

Once I replied to one of these guys with something like

"No thanks, I get this similar email about 20 times a day...but I DO have an idea that might make your life a little easier: Pay me $5,000 and I will write a 419 letter that will
1) be legible
2) be more believable
3) make you look like you are a real heir to a king, instead of a desperate guy who lives in a shack.
4) show you how to spoof your email so that it looks like it came from a legitimate government agency (because most of us are smart enough to know that royalty do not use free yahoo email accounts)

With these improvements, your scam success rate should improve dramatically."

I got no reply. Honestly, I thought it was a fair proposal. :p

yeah the real question is what offer can a nigerian do that youd get credit for? if its some type of offer that involves a credit card.... you know that shits going to be fake and stolen.

a nice "reverse whammy" idea!
I often do something similar with phone solicitor/spammers.

I tell them I am interested, but they have to help me first...some actually start to jump thru my hoops instead of me jumping through theirs...

wouldn't it raise some alarms if a large portion of your leads were coming from NIGERIA of all places

It would... so try not to over do it. Besides, there are very few international offers that accept traffic from Nigeria, and those that do typically pay only a few pennies.

However, there are some of these scammers which are based in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands, so these could be better.

However, beware of one thing... if you make them do credit card offers... then there is a 99.9998% chance that they are using a stolen/phished card.

I get so many of these in my e-mail and I've been thinking of ways to screw them back over for so long. Good to read this thread. Will definitely try something soon.
