Quick review, been with SharkServers over a month now with my OpenVZ VPS.


I submitted two tickets (needed help with a few things), got a replay/help within ~3 min and ~15 min.


Havent had any downtime, so i only got good things to say about them.

i wanna host a ts server, a web torrent client and most important a private openvpn or pptp server.
is any of that against your rules? do u allow tun/tap? will i be informed of dcma actions?
if yes i would order right now

Thanks for asking. TS server and vpn server would be ok, however, we do not allow torrent clients at this time - mainly due to the constant high bandwidth usage. tun/tap is enabled. As for DMCA notices, we normally do not inform clients, as we do not take any action. However, if you wish to stay informed, please make a note of that when placing the order and we'll make sure you receive an email should there be any takedown notice.

Hi, so I can take it from your post you are unhappy with the service? I was going to place an order with SS but having second thoughts now. I also understand from a early post they may not use cPanel on shared hosting. (The proper cPanel) if anyone can confirm this plz.

Shame really, as they did come across as a good new server company.

Disclaimer: this isn't a freebie review, I actually paid for this.

I ordered the hosting package, and am glad I did.

Tickets were replied to promptly, and the actual server runs tickety-boo! The only *slight* bugbear was that they no longer use CPanel (due to system resources), but the panel they utilize is intuitive enough. It's just that I'm used to CPanel, but it's no drama.

Just hope they don't drop their pants in the face of incoming DMCAs! :yell:
