I am just awaiting for my hosting to get approved. My plan is to blog trending videos and pictures, somewhat like this http://www.pleated-jeans.com/ and this http://theawesomer.com/
Can I re-post them on my site and just give credits to where I got the vid or pic?

will not be a pretty good idea, as the way google reacts nowadays and also with constant algo updates.

but you can give it a try, i will suggest you add some content too, not just videos etc.

There is a script template for it, you can share videos, images and also comments. It just takes a few configurations to adjust it accordingly to your needs. I did it for a client before a year, i will search and post the script here if you really need it.

Don't expect much organic traffic. You will definitely needs alternate ways of traffic generation.
