She's tried kicking him out a few times already, and he always comes back.

  • The first time, he was kicked out at 14 and was required to live with his biological father. His biological father then kicked him out because my mother's friend's son drugged his step-brother and got him sent to the hospital.
  • The second time, he was sent to live with his father again at 16. He was sent back when his father realised he was dealing cocaine at his high school.
  • The third time, he was kicked out at 18 and went to live with his friend. His friend kicked him out for an unknown reason and my mother's friend's son went back to live with his mother. He also came back with a girlfriend who he occasionally cheats on with prostitutes (he engages in coitus with said prostitutes inside of his bedroom, which is located next to his mother's bedroom).

I feel like telling his mother what you said. It sounds like him going to prison would make her and her other relatives' life better (with the exception of the "emotional turmoil" his mother may briefly experience from having a son in jail). Besides, I personally want to see him get arrested after he tried lighting me on fire when I was 13 (that wasn't the worst thing he did, either).

That's bad. I think the mother definitely made a mistake by letting him back in. The least she could have done was stocked up on 5 panel drug test kits. Then I'd make him piss every other day just to live at home. The problem is, he's an adult now. So if he fails a drug test it's not like she can force him into rehab. Most she can do (and should do) is kick him out or report him to the authorities.

It's hard to admit, but nothing can really "fix" those kinds of people. Prison only "fixes" 1/5 inmates. So by going to jail or prison he has an 80% chance of getting worse. At the same time, for all the shit he's put his parents through, and you, he deserves to get some sense knocked into him. And jail can definitely do that.

The way I honestly see it, if the kid is a "thug", chances are prison IS going to make him worse. That's why I think thugs do better in rehab, and non-thugs do better in prison. Cause the thug expects to go to prison and be ignored by society. While the non-thug expects people to bend over ass backwards for them. But this is just a gross generalization. And in the end, the mother is the real victim. If she lacks the courage to call the authorities, the LEAST she should do is visit Nar-Anon: http://www.nar-anon.org/

It will be hard for her to make that first step. But I guarantee if she can walk through the door for *1 meeting*, the hooks will sink in. She'll feel empowered, she'll stop being the victim, stop enabling her son, she'll get excellent advise from people who've already been through what's she's going through right now, and she will work up the courage to do what's right.

People like me and you, we can speculate all day long. But she will ultimately get the most help from people who are going through EXACTLY what she is. I know it worked for my mom, it work's for a lot of parents, and she sounds like a perfect candidate.

Green: She did that at one point too, but even when he failed the tests, there wasn't much she could do because he would become belligerent and attack her (he punched a hole in the wall the last time this happened).

Pink: I agree, he's been like this since he was younger (I was his friend when he was younger, but I stopped talking to him after he started developing idiosyncratic behaviours [talking about "sex, money, power"; wearing peter pan-tight skinny jeans, doing drugs, drinking, snorting his mother's birth control pills [this one is a funny story!], huffing axe bottles, huffing freon, sucking pre-teen nipples when he was 13, viewing images of faeces, watching hermaphrodite porn, pilfering traffic signs, skateboarding nude in public, etcetera. I could really keep going on with this list).

Orange: I'll put it to you this way, the kid, despite being 20, acts like a proverbial American teenager. She only calls the authorities when one of his friends decides to stand outside of their house screaming his name for several hours at a time.

Yellow: I'll try to convince her to do that, although does he really qualify as an "addict"? I suppose. if anything, he's addicted to the fictitious thug life he's living (and possibly snorting his mother's birth control pills).

Yeh, they had a field day cause of the area. Helicopter hovering 50 feet over the house, 8 men deep running up my lawn with rifles, then recklessly setting off flash gre

I grew up in Brielle, I assume it would have gotten some neighbors a little upset it that all went down there as well.

I don't read anything that John Chow or Pat Flynn write in their blogs, but I got a respect for them because they had a long and tough way to get to the point they are today.

I don't have respect for people that have to discredit someone else to get a piece of attention. I also don't respect people in IM industry that built their empires based on lies and cheats and Charles is definitely one of them.

All you have to do today is to lie about working for successful companies that don't even know your name, lie about your income, lie about your success and write posts about theories copied from other people's blogs. You can include screenshots of other people's work and take a picture of yourself with a random supercar parked in your street. Even if 90% of people know you are bullshitting, you will still get some % of blind noobs who will pay you money for nothing.

CEOsam also fits in this category.

Pat Flynn attracts a certain type of audience, mostly people completely new to online marketing. But he shows how lucrative affiliate marketing can be if you do it right - write good and useful stuff and have an email list.

Maybe he's changed a bit now he's making $50k a month but I'd really like to meet him some day.

Charles is currently out on bail, but has been denied access to a computer.

Ste Hughes has been making me laugh with his Troll/Parody account:

Most people in the USA who are sent to prison for sex crimes even if no physical acts involved will be sent to a medium-high level security prison that doesn't have a dedicated sex-offender wing. And if it does, then people still convicted of child-related crimes will be targeted by those in there. My guess is he will go to a general medium security prison IF convicted, and in time may be moved to a lower-security prison.

This is not a good position to be in. Most people who go in for sex crimes relating to minors will want to hide what their charges are. But because his case is high-profile, he will not be able to hide it. It is a genuinely dangerous position for him to be in because he is young, small and not prepared for this. If he thinks he will be going back, he should be buffing up now and preparing to be able to defend himself - at least that is what I'd do if I was him.

Many states will try and screw you over for these charges, as in, sentence you for half your life even if you are a first timer. They literally charge you per picture, and it'll be so many months in prison per picture. Not all states do this, but for the ones that do, your prison time counts up fast because these do not run concurrently.

In addition, because this is both a state crime and a federal crime, sometimes you'll be targeted by both which can add further prison time to your sentence. Because of these huge hurdles to overcome, the vast vast majority of these cases are plead-out in court. My guess is his lawyer is working to secure a plead deal now, because like 90%+ of these cases are plead-out.

These are really serious charges.

There are different rules in England where this is occurring

In one prison I was in in Ca. a "Mo" hit the yard. The family of the child this person raped put a hit out on the guy. There was an AB initiation going down. The mo was grabbed tied to a softball backstop with a tower guard watching. The initiate began walking around the small yard. Every time he passed the mo he stabbed the mo three or four times. After about 1/2 hour, when the guard tower figured the mo was dead, he called a lockdown and the medics went out, untied the corpse, tossed him on a gurney and wheeled him to to the infirmary leaving a trail of blood across the yard, and up the hall.

These are no longer those days. The mo's are most often placed in PC (protective custody) on arrival to the fish tank, and either moved to ad seg (Hi power) and never let out on the yard, or for those states that have sex offender prisons, moved to the mo prison.

You may think I jest. Here is another murder I witnessed. This one was over a debt, and the murdered guy running his mouth about how no one was tough enough to collect it. All three were convicted. Two committed suicide and the third (Troy Kell) is on death row.

It is the UK. Hacking cases are taken seriously these days and especially against Government networks.
The Prosecution will probably be pushing for the maximum sentence.
The Police added the sex case charges after finding stuff on his computer, depending on how serious the images are, those charges might be dropped. If not, then he will be fucked, because of his age he will probably be sent to a Young Offenders Institution and they are notorious for being much worse than Prison. The type of guy Charles is, I can certainly see him having a hell of a tough time.

I don't get why prisoners aren't just drugged to keep them non violent. They do it on patients in mental health facilities.

That's an interesting point, although I would imagine there are some issues with drugging all of the potentially violent prisoners (I'm sure some of the are drugged). One of those issues being that many of them may not qualify for medication. Then there would be the cost factor associated with supplying the prisoners with those drugs. Let's also not forget that some of those prisoners may begin an in-house drug cartel to supply the most dependent of the prisoners with an extra "hit" or two.

In the US there are laws that prohibit the forced use of drugs absent a court holding that a person is a risk to himself or others for psycholoical reasons. Forced drug use is illegal.

AH! My bad, I forgot he was located in the UK. That is why you shouldn't blind post :)

Crime/justice is an area I am interested in, and I 100% believe the story you just shared. I'm surprised and actually impressed that Britain has dedicated wings for chows (child sex offenders) in some prisons. But I don't know if a Young Offenders unit would have a block dedicated to them, so he'd probably just get put in seg (fun times).

If he doesn't get done for the chow charges though, then surely with hacking he'd get sent to low-security young offenders unit? Unless they don't segregate that based on security. Low security units are obviously not where you want to be... but a lot more ideal than medium-high security.

I don't get why prisoners aren't just drugged to keep them non violent. They do it on patients in mental health facilities.
They kind of already are...

At least in the USA, HUGE amounts of prisoners are diagnosed with mental conditions. A suspicious amount, actually. So there are lots of prisoners who are given all sorts of drugs which effect their mental state.
