This forum really cracks me up. I'm only here to tell people how to get their income back. If these guys on this thread just want to flame every little thing then they can feel free to do so. To me they just seem like bored people.

301's work. People that say the penalty just "passes through" are people that have read the same threads again over and over and have never put the test in action for themselves.

I've never seen a larger group of puppets in my life. I will continue to make money through my 301's at the cost of 1 hour per domain to setup and $10 per domain overhead and bank for weeks and weeks. I'M HARDLY "WASTING" TIME PEOPLE. I'm done with this by the time you're waking up from your 8 hour sleep. If you really think 4 hours and $40 for 4 domains is "wasting" time then I'd really like to see what you're doing with your time that's so precious. Anyway, if you have something to contribute to the thread that will aid people in recovering what's been hit and making money again then please feel free to post. Otherwise if you're just going to puppet what every other thread is saying without actually posting any real data in here then you can just close the thread.

The same thing happened last year when Penguin came out and the same methods worked. I maintained my ranks until the next Penguin refresh and so can you. Don't listen to the puppets.

I guess you misunderstood me....I meant that I did the 301 redirect on my hit domain yesterday as you have outlined in this thread. I agree 100% with you..LOL. I can't afford to loose money waiting around for the next Penguin...and if I can get my rankings back, only for a few weeks with a 301 redirect...I am in 100% with a 301 redirect. Going to be doing a couple more today! I can not wait the time for a new website to start making money again, especially with the new ranking delays.

Also, I already have my new website up and going. Going to try to be a little more conservative on the keyword anchor ratio's on this one. Other than that, I will probably just continue with my current link building strategies.

I will post back here in a week or so, to let you know when my traffic and rankings come back.

Yep, could be the case. Nothing is for certain man. But it's a small thing to change for a peace of mind. Anyway the people that do change it say it's worth it and the people that don't say it's not. So it's a very biased topic in my opinion. For you what might be pointless, might be everything to someone else. Just shows how bias this forum is really.

The people in those threads, if you haven't noticed are mainly retard puppets that are increasing their post count by following what everyone previously said. None of them substantiated any of their claims with any real data. The people that know it works will just do it (Including myself). It's usually the people holding onto a smidgen of hope with their website that it's rankings will restore that are following the crowd as well. Not their fault either, it's usually because they think 301's are hard. But really, they're not. And moving your website / cloning it elsewhere is really easy. It doesn't take longer than an hour.

And like I said in my previous post, this "time" that you're referring to me losing is a mere 4 hours for 4 websites. What have you done with your day today that's worthwhile in 4 hours? I restored the earnings to my $X,XXX websites and posted a thread to help others do the same. To me I feel like I've spent my 4 hours and "all of this time" you speak of quite well.

People need to step out of the "SEO Mindset" for a second and really understand how a 301 redirect works on the web server side. In a servers perspective, the domain has "moved permanently" meaning the old domain no longer exists. By doing this that old domain has no meaning, it has no existence it's merely just a "door" that you open to access the new domain. People that say the "penalty" passes through don't seem to understand how this works. Essentially what you're doing is just passing all the old links you've collected to the new domain. People that are saying that there's no point, just rebuild your website and follow the "same methods" of link building are basically just telling you to do the same thing, but taking the LONG way.

Why buy all those links again, when they're already sitting there waiting for you to use again? Those people that just build the same links are just going to get hit by Penguin again but would've spent more money on buying these links when they could've just used them from their old domain. Penalties don't "pass through", links pass through and you're building the exact same links people. Think logic. The penalties that people speak of usually "passing through" are those of manual penalties. Manual penalties pass through because those links get detected by Google and get flagged as a manual penalty. These pass through because they just find those exact same links and pass the penalty. It doesn't work this way for an algorithmic penalty and never has.

However, I was proved wrong yesterday when I saw it implemented by the owner of a penalised site for a keyword I'm watching. I'm keeping tabs on it to see how long the new domain lasts in the SERPs.

Nevertheless, I have first-hand experience of penalties passing through 301 redirects. If it's never happened to any of your domains before, then good for you.

Np man, my message to you was only the first line. Everything after was just me blabbering lol. Exactly the point I'm trying to get across. If it costs you $10 to make a 301 and get your rankings back to bank, why not do it? And use your time to rebuild your profitable niches whilst trying to avoid being hit by Penguin again. If what I've analyzed is correct, we should be able to maintain the ranks for quite some time to come. If you can bank for 3 months, you should be able to get a new site there within the same time.

So let's say site A was your original site and then after the penalty you 301'd that towards site B, and during Penguin 3.0 you got hit again, now you redirect to site C. If this is the case, did you 301 the original site A that you redirected or site B? Or did you supplement the redirect with new links to increase the seemingly weakened link juice since it was filtered through another site?

I rank my own service site and when I get hit, I lose basically all of my income for a couple of months- recently my strategy was to just clone the site to a new domain that I have aged for around 2 years and change all of the text content. I ordered the best speed rank package, a diversification service from Tommy, around 35 PBN links from a BST seller here, and switched over my own PBN links to the new domain. Currently, I'm ranking around 30s for the majority of my keywords and it has been less than a week so the majority of the links that I purchased (i requested drip feed) have not been created. Before penguin 3.0, I was ranking front page of my keywords, but the rankings were mainly fueled by SAPE links. on the previous sites I also had PBN links from BST but upon checking on them on AHREFS the blogs seem to have been suspended. Any advice that you might offer will be appreciated!

Hey OP, your original plan sounds good, focus and follow through with it. Don't leave footprints, that is your greatest weapon, you're on the right track there by changing your email provider, etc... IMO.

I'm not to sure how GoDaddy handles the redirect, if it works as a 301 then I don't see a problem in doing that. So just do some digging and find out if it is in fact a 301 redirect, because if it's a meta redirect or something else then it won't work.

The last time I got hit (Prev October) I re-created one of my major sites and it just got hit again, so this time I'm just going to use a 301 and re-create my most profitable site again just incase this happens, you just need to stay 1 step ahead all the time so when things like this happen you can get back on your feet quickly - and things like this will keep happening. Other sites that weren't banking as hard were implemented with a 301 and they didn't get hit until the latest refresh. I've never got to the point where I've had to do a third site but if I did this is a question that I've been thinking of my self as well. Typically, you'd want to change your links from the old domain to the new one ASAP but slowly (PBN's for example) as I mainly used PBN's it was easy to change them to the new URL as well. For all the old links, in my opinion they pretty much just die out after a year since you've built some links to the new site already and don't need to use them.

But if it came to it, being a third site I would firstly 301 the site B and see where the rankings go. If you're happy with how they are I wouldn't change the 301 on domain A, however if ranks still aren't where you want them to be after say 3 weeks then I'd go ahead and 301 domain A to domain C as well and see in 3 weeks if it has affected it postively. If there's not much of a change then I'd just remove the domain A completely. The more levels you go the more it dilutes, however you should still build some links to the new domain if it's making money for you. Not much, maybe just invest $300~500 over the year just to keep it positive in links because if links just stop coming it would look un-natural and your ranks would go down. So if it's making you money, keep feeding it some links on the new primary domain.

Well it looks like you've lost some links as well, and if the websites that were linking to you got hit then you might've lost some link juice there as well but I doubt it.

If it's been less than week then I'd give it some more time. I had keywords in the 30's as well after about a week. Then 2-3 days after that, all my rankings went back to the first page. Hopefully the same will happen to you. If the links are still present and un-affected though I don't see why it shouldn't rank again for you. Just make sure the 301 has been done properly.

Another interesting thing to note as well, was I had SAPE on one of my websites and it got hit with a manual penalty. I then removed ALL the SAPE links (Didn't disavow or anything) and then did a 301 redirect to a new site, so it just used the links prior to SAPE and the website was ranking again and the manual penalty never "came through" because the SAPE links weren't present. It just shows that they only look at the links and not if there's a penalty, Google can't penalise a website for using a 301 however they can penalise it if the same links are still there being 301'd and in the case of a manual penalty, you'll probably see the penalty come through again in 6+ weeks.

I was wondering if I should use ILI on the old domain being 301'd to help speed up Google crawling the old pages so they get de-indexed faster.

Also, I was wondering about using ILI to re-crawl all the links to get the link juice passing to the new site faster. My concern here is if the links show up to fast and cause some negative signals to G.

Just wondering if you help along the old links getting to the new site and the de-indexing of the old pages.

In my honest opinion, let things take their natural course. Because for a site to get de-indexed and then re-indexed on the new site that would mean the 301 has successfully moved over the links etc.

By forcing it with an indexing tool you're sending off too many pings between the two sites and the link juice might've not had the right amount of time to move.

I've had all my deep pages indexed pretty quick, even all the blog posts and everything. Most of my sites are over 60 pages and it took only a bit over a week. I think just give it some time and see where things are in about 3 weeks.

It's because Google can't use any other variables other than links. If they did it would cause problems for legitimate websites. And links are working so well for them.

You would always need to keep it up since the links would be coming from the old domain, you're not meant to take it off.

It takes more than 24 hours for a redirect to work, perhaps 1-2 weeks at earliest and 3 weeks latest.

Your old pages shouldn't be on Google anymore, usually when I do a 301 I move all content to a temp folder so that you just have an empty directory with only the 301 rule in your .htaccess as this would make it de-index faster.

Guy named Josh Bachynki claims to have a "secret fix" for Penguin. I'm pretty sure its legit, but I assue hes not cheap.

It seems to be some kind of fix that some hackers figured out and are keeping a secret to make money off of. My best guess is that it has to do with rebranding and "changing site owners". - Therefore giving google all the signals needed to assume that the site is now in new hands and somehow to lift the penalty.

Google has been trending in this direction for some time now and I deem it entirely possible that rebranding a domain and changing "owner" - transferring registration may lift penguin penalties.

After all it is logical to not punish a new owner for the "wrongdoings" of his predecessors.

However, his fix might be something entirely different.

Hi everyone. im still trying to find out the bad links in this days of after penguin..
and im using SEO spyglass in order to analyze how "risky" the links are.
i have some links coming from PBN. and according to the spyglass thats what i get links from:
www.myPBN.com
www.myPBN.com/post name
www.myPBN.com/category/post name
www.myPBN.com/tags/tag name/post
and so on....of course its all from the same post which have just 1 anchor text...but then it seems like there are 5-6 links pointing to my site with the same anchor.
then it makes the all links very risky (44% says the spyglass).
but then after all its only one post on the blog...just one.
so im not sure...is it still risky? i mean thats a blog it has its structure...does google knows the different?
