im wondering if i should give up on SEO... i have burned thousands to only see one keyword hit page 1 of google with little results after that.

Ive been through many "SEO EXPERTS" including well known ones on this site that failed to rank and impress me.

Im paying a guy 250 a month to do seo work for me but progress is very slow, i will be an old man before i reach any success if i am going to rely on him.

Double U Tee Eff people. IS SEO DEAD?

Like can someone here honestly say they paid one of the services on this site like 400 a month and with their site ranking on page 1 they made good money? I find that close to impossible to believe.

It costs a fortune to rank on page one of gooogle and all of the competitive keywords is where the money is. So basically your paying a fortune to get on page 1 but then you have cut throat competition just slashing at you on top....

LOL I was wondering when these threads were gonna start appearing.

Here's a thought for you.

Ardley216 has researched 630,000,000 keywords.

For every one of those keywords, there is a site sitting at #1

That's 630,000,000 examples of SEO working.

Or 6.3 Billion examples of SEO working if you include the top 10 results.

I like $250 or $400 per month SEO....this means you will either get results fast and then burn faster or you wont get anything else but crappy links bought on Fiverr

Never rely on seo professionals to rank. They don't have time for you.

You are on an seo forum. You should be able to devise a strategy to rank your website taking into consideration competition, etc. Then only should you choose one or several service(s) that closely matches what you need. Don't rely on them to build a strategy for you.

Never is an absolute and not applicable here.

At 250$ a month you most likely employed a third worlder who probably just mass builds shitty links rather than real seo.

Unless your chasing extremely difficult keywords; serp increases should be noticable within a week or two of hiring an seo.

Haha I easily could have written this. I also pay $400+ but I'm targeting super easy KWs. Unable to increase rank. Since May I've not been able to improve the rank of even ONE keyword and have spent $2000+ overall on SEO experts. For people like me who are website developers and marketers but who can't perform SEO there's nothing we can do until we find someone who can get results.

Not all of us have time to write tonnes of articles and set up tonnes of Web 2.0 sites, not the time to spend years learning how to finally hit rank #10 anyway. Why can't I just find some powerful non-PBN links or light greyhat links instead of broken English spam links that 404 so I can survive Penguin?

I'll try YouTube vid SERP ranking soon and see if that's easier.

As long as you see organic results in Google Search, SEO is not dead. That's the conclusion.

I believe that adwords is dead, that's why google is blasting as many websites as possible. Adwords is good for huge corporations, not for small business. For example you're selling Nike shoes for $55, you make $5 on each pair sold. You're paying google $30 to sell one pair of shoes, so you're $25 lost. Where's the logic here ?

Google knows that nobody would use adwors, because it's overpriced and not effective. It's all about one basic rule - Internet was designed for users, not corporations. If people will stop using google and there will be a good alternative Internet will be a free market again.

personally i would say facebook ads work much better than adwords for promoting offline local business. i promoted my own business through facebook ads and it worked better than adwords
