72 hour Penguin recovery services?

Yea if you could really recover from Penguin that fast don't you think more people would know about it.

This is an opportunity for all of these scammers to cash in.

Just google "penguin 3.0 recovery" and check out all of the adwords ads running right now.

All they can do is the following:

1) compile your backlinks

2) run a link removal campaign

3) submit reconsideration request

all of which you can do yourself. One service I can recommend though is link detox they seem to be legit and have helped me remove some toxic links. IMO removing toxic links is a preventative measure, not something to be done on the ass end of a penguin slap. It's just not going to cut it.

Bottom line is this: If the final decision is up to google and these "recovery services" have to submit a reconsideration request, how in the world can they possibly guarantee anything that google will say or do within the next 72 hours. They are not google therefore is ultimate BS sales buzztalk.

First, you cannot file a reconsideration request for a penguin problem. If you had the chance to file a reconsideration request you were hit by an unnatural link warning/penalty and not Penguin.

Second, link detox doesn't remove any links. They are a link analysis tool and a shitty one at that. You can read the countless reviews of how they miscalculate links and are really an overpriced Ahrefs report. Don't waste your money on that shit.

Third, I used a "recovery service" after my site was hit by Penguin and recovered. It sure as hell didn't take 72 hours. It took one year to recover from Penguin because that's how long it took Google to refresh the algorithm. Not all recovery services are scams. Any claiming 72 hours are a scam though.

I agree! Google is no good! But my niche is diseases and medicine, not very social media friendly and the commission on meds is lower than AdSense clicks so paying for ads is out of the question... Hmm...

Don't give up on SEO just because your site was hit by Penguin. It happens! You are an online marketer, and you therefore have a business that fetches you money. And just like in every business, there are times when you gain and times when you lose. Just learn from your mistakes and continue.

Exactly, that's the way to cookie crumbles.

I especially like the part about Detox. If properly evaluating links algorithmically would be as easy as this tool claims, I wonder why a multi billion dollar company like Google, with an army of top notch employees and almost unlimited resources, required years to develop and refine this kind of algorithm
