Anyone used diaspora* social network

Just wondering if anyone has tried marketing on the diaspora* social network?

I have setup my own hosted Pod and have already had over 50 people signup in 2 days. (https://www.diasporapod.co.uk)
You can also connect to other pod users if you know their pod address which then increases the connections. (It works as a decentralised network)

Has anyone had any results with marketing on this new social network? OR do you think it would be a good idea to claim a space for future use?

seems kinda new to me, but it's not the diaspora*, the domain in OP's post was registered on 2014-09-30, no alexa stats

more than likely it's OP's site and as such it falls into the self promotion category
