Hey,
I'm looking for affordable reseller hosting preferably with cpanel or at least something that will allow for fast installation of Wordpress. I am currently with Hostwinds but recently their servers are just not reliable like they used to be and it's been some time so I want to move. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey,

I am sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with our reseller hosting service.

We have had some explosive growth in our reseller hosting lately, and we are in the process of rolling out brand new hardware for ALL of our shared servers. This should more than double the speed seen by all of our shared, business, and reseller hosting clients.

Please shoot me a PM, with your email on file with us, so that I can take a closer look at your account. I know that we have not registered any downtime recently, however, if you are not happy with the speeds, I think you will really appreciate the upgrades we are making.

In addition if you use any external monitoring service, and you can send me the logs, and or indication that your website was offline. I will extend your account out a full 30 days free, for every single month we did not hit our 99% uptime guarantee.

Take a look at these guys - http://www.host-stage.net/reseller-web-hosting.php - they are part of a study I am doing on hosts and have come in pretty strong. I'm actually looking at a bunch of different ones as part of some testing that we are doing and am impressed with their customer service and quality.

I do not have any ownership interest there, just have them in our testing group.

Hostwinds,
My account is now suspended ... so i've submitted a ticket #501882, we'll see what happens. Also it is not about uptime but speed. It just takes forever to load, and then either 500's out or loads.

BassTrackerBoats,
These people look pretty good and affordable. Will definitely consider them. Thanks.

aqibarif74,
I did not find any reseller option.

safex,
Of course, I'm wondering what people would recommend, I've been taking a look at multiple of those as well.

Thanks

If anyone is keeping track of this thread, my account is still suspended for "high resource usage", in the past I would get a warning and would work with them to fix the issue, now they are forcing me to upgrade to a VPS which I do not have the time or money for.
I am now in the process of switching to Host-Stage, once Hostwinds give me a backup of everything because they are not willing to unsuspend the account so that it can be transferred.
The amount of money I've lost from this last week via lost sales, refunds, chargebacks, etc is ridiculous, unfortunately I cannot recommend Hostwinds at this time. As I mentioned to them in the support ticket, they used to be a very strong company, but not sure what happened in the past few weeks.

How much are you looking to pay? If it is a resource problem (not saying it is, just going on what is in this thread), you may want to look at buying a VPS, installing cPanel and then everything on the VPS is yours.

If you want a chat about going this way feel free to give me a shout on Skype.

Same thing happening to me ...Read my thread :- http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...1329-how-many-sites-do-you-host-your-vps.html

Hostwinds used be a good company when i was having shared hosting there ...But from when i upgraded to VPS my hosting is always down due to high resource consumption. I am only running 4 Wordpress sites with no traffic..

You have to search here on this forum, you'll definitely get the answer.
But first of all decide how much you are willing to pay!

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I went with Host-Stage as per BTB's recommendation and so far I am pretty happy.

On the other hand, very disappointed with Hostwinds handling of the situation: not only did it take days to make a backup during the situation (and they would not unsuspend my account while my account was suspended so I can fix the cause of the problem, the only option they provided was to upgrade to VPS), it resulted in capital losses of $300+ via Paypal disputes from my clients, loss of client trust, loss of potential sales, and overall just a complete nightmare that I'm still dealing with. Further Hostwinds was unwilling to refund for the slow speed (60 second plus loading time...) and the week suspension.

To be clear I had been messaged in the past about high resource utilization but they would warn me in advance, and I would work with them to fix the issue. I had been with Hostwinds for about 3 years and the way I was treated this time around was sad to say the least and resulted in their loss of a loyal client as well as many referrals via word of mouth.

Edit: My refund request was processed.

I know quality reselling is good and reliable from nextpointhost.com and greenlionnet.com.
I'd recommend you to try them if you are interested in getting a quality reseller service.

I would suggest to look for a hosting provider that promise nearly 100% uptime and fast customer support. You might also want to look for better security like strong firewall, optimized webserver, malware protection etc.
