Is it safe to use google docs for outlining bot projects?

So I basically use google docs for everything. Accounting, project planning with partners, Account logins etc... My projects arn't so much about SEO, but I do a lot of bot planning as I do a lot of coding.

Should I remove all my stuff to an offline source or is there a better alternative? I love being able to access all my stuff from anywhere in the world as I don't always have the same laptop on me. I also have a lock on my account to where anytime i sign in from a different IP I need to verify a code that gets sent to my phone, so I feel pretty safe about my account not being busted into. But after reading some stuff about how google can see SEO project plans it makes me a bit iffy about it all.

Is it time for me to move on?
Thanks in advance

I would not be using Google Docs like that; I'm not that paranoid guy either but I would not be putting anything sensitive there at all.

Trusting Google is not that much different than trusting my ex-wife; she is a fine human being but...

Personally, I choose not to risk it. I used to keep a lot of project data in Google docs, but I feel safer now working in Open Office. I should probably stop working so much in Chrome as well.

I don't know if Google actually hoards all this data, but if they can legally do so, they'd be stupid not to. There's so much value in it.

There has been a lot of speculation about Google stealing user's data. It's happening for a while, but users have gotten aware of it only since the late 2012. They became a huge Corporation by scraping data's around the WWW. You shouldn't be amazed if they pull some codes from your Docs account. I too was in the same boat like you and after researching for a couple of months and trying out various services, I found Zoho Docs to be the best service to collaborate with my partners. They have a ton of features that are missing in Google Docs. Unlike Google who give you 15GB free space/account, Zoho offers just 5 GB but you can get an extra GB if you sign up through a referral link.

Here's mine if you want : https://docs.zoho.com/referral/c1fc1eded8b4b813e0bf78bf64e70eeb3b39712803df9012ccb07a3b2d9e6857

Yeah Why Not just send them a EMAIL that Hey, AM Building Bot to Dominate Google. You care to Look for My Outlines?

alright changing all my docs over to something else. I'm getting a MAC in a couple weeks, making the transition away from my windows after 14 years. Do they come with any good docs/spreadsheet type tools for bot planning/accounting already built in?

I'd recommend keeping away from anything related to google - gmail, android, docs etc. They even save your voice samples when you are using voice option to set set your GPS on android phone. This is so called "voice footprint" so when you will buy google TV in future (android TV) they can record your voice, compare with database and they know it's you. They can serve you better ads. Sounds crazy ? Just wait 1-2 years. Many years ago idea of flight to the moon was crazy to :)
