Hello, this is simple curiosity.

I've been on affiliate marketing a bit more than 2 years. And I perfectly remember september last year was awful, Now this year with a 50%-70% more of traffic on my sites, the month is pretty bad, just the first days were normal. But now this week I feel so slow. Maybe I aiming the wrong product. But I would like to now if this only happens to me or anyone else?

My niche is digital goods. Web templates and stuff like that.

It and Feb is usually slow months. Not a lot of spending leading up to the Christmas season

Here the worst month is August cause all peoples are in vacation.

Depends on the niche. I'm in local home improvement niches and traffic is kicking up right now pretty hard. Same thing happened last year and the year before. I don't know why but a couple weeks after school starts I think parents start planning remodeling for the holidays. So the phone starts ringing.

Same here, it is the worst month for me as well. I just checked and same month the sales were down last year.

Generally, June, July & August are the worst months. But it also depends on seasonal fluctuations in demand and of course, your niche. Do some research, maybe you can offer a discount during these months to boost sales?

Your site is ranked again? I remember last time it was nuked because of 6 packs disappearing...

Now I know................

Why my sales super drop in this month

My Amazon sales volume also dropped by 70% although the traffic & CTR has increased 2x.

i offer financial help and things used to pick up in the last quarter. mostly because people are shopping more around the holiday times.

Yes of course. Beside sept, studies show that dec, feb, may and april also. And 2nd worse month will be july, aug, oct, jan. Last but not least march, june and nov.

There could be many answers to this questions.
But I think you are right - as I'm facing the same thing.

September is great for the bigger brands. Especially the back 2 school promotions. That's why a lot of niches are affected by this. Big spending by big brands and the fact that parents are too busy focusing on their child and school related things.

Yes, yes! exact same here it's happening to me. Not with amazon, but overall my CTR is high above 2% but sales are down.

Thanks to all for the feedback.

My only conclusion can be the people is resting of the money spent for the back to school seasing and at the same time saving money for the last quarter of the year: halloween, black friday and christmas.

is not just you OP a lot of my friends in digital goods are noticing drops
as for my opinion every September apple do official release of new iPhones and that's where all our digital goods money go

also Holidays are bad for Digital Marketing and weekends as well

Yep!! in September I always get drop in earning.
