A question to all Skype users.

Hey guys, thanks for taking your time to read this.
I'm supposed to write a mini report for my design and human interaction class about the flaws and imperfections of Skype. Things like, misused space, inefficiency, design flaws, anything that has to do with Skype for windows pretty much. I've made a list of 4 such issues and I was wondering you guys could suggest me some more.

Go use skype and see it yourself. because every persons taste is individual. Some people might like the way skype works and are comfortable what ever errors skype has, but some people might find things annoying, for example when you send a message to a person who is offline and then you go offline but the person goes online , he will not get your message unless you are online too >.>

If u would take 20 mins of your time and use it you will see many faults. Logging in on an old computer the app is to big and slow. Or how about the fact it delays messages from time to time. That's all I'm giving u.

phone as security, hell even FB,yahoo,Google allow that

Hmm out of curiosity, what were the 4 issues you listed?

I use skype on a daily basis for work. I think they could definitely improve the Linux version, and even the mobile version, as they are just not as refined as the one for Windows. They are slow and rather buggy and almost seem intentionally bad, to keep users from migrating away from Windows.

The mobile is slow and without some of the bells and whistles desktop version.
You should be able to change your handle.
If you do not accept a contact it should fall off your "pending contact request" list after a few days.
You should be able to access more than one account from the same window like you can with outlook.

There are a few for you, OP.

Ok, not exactly from the same window, but you can have multiple accounts open at the same time:

Thanks for the interest. List:
1) There's no 'save my password' option. You can have Skype log you in automatically every time you start it but no real 'save my password' option'.
2) When on full screen, 80%~ of the screen is spent on 'updates', 'ads' and random stuff. I'd much rather use that space to sort my contact into groups/folders.
3) The 'RECENT' button beside 'CONTACTS' should be renamed to 'history' or 'logs' and show your entire history of messaging/calling, not only the last few unanswered calls etc..
4) Many of the buttons in the toolbar under 'call', 'conversation' and a few more are totally useless. I've never seen anyone use most of them as there are much easier and time efficient ways to complete the same functions.

Hmm I'm pretty sure it does have this feature though. I know it remembers my password when I switch accounts.

Skype is easily hackable. It does not provide the required security.

I'm familiar with that and do that but would prefer one less window open on my machines when I am working. Like outlook does for my email accounts.
