So, I am fairly new here. Been lurking for several months and finally decided to get involved with the forum and start posting.
I don't even want to name names but I just recently posted a thread asking a question of the effectiveness of a certain online tool. I was hoping to get some enlightenment but before my posting was even a minute or two fresh, someone decides to come thru talking about getting me banned for 'product placement / promotion' lol. like, calm down buck-o. Im trying to ask a question about a product. Not promote it. It just annoys me because he left a bad bad connotation surrounding me and my thread and didnt even bother to touch on my question. Instead of trying to boost your post count by posting unwanted content in my thread, how about leave some helpful information...if not...how about you kick rocks? My lord! If I ask a question about adsense are you gonna jump down my throat and ask if im a Google affiliate? One can only assume that if you go out of your way to be annoying online, you lead one sad lonely life in the real world.... it's okay though, although I may not care for said person, im sure there is a morbidly obese, second-life obsessed, plenty of fish account wielding female out there that will embrace you.

That's the reason people get defensive about it (and I dont really blame them, theres tons of shitty threads that get started like that every day).

OP, your post is not compiling and shows syntax error. I found out the error is in your last line.

When you post another rant thread and opened it with #begin-rant, close it with #end-rant.
 
You, if not a returning old member in new disguise, will not know why members roast the self promoter on BHW. :D

Didn't read about the long rant... Was it interesting, guys? Any freebies attached? Any review copies given? lol

OP, get back to serious reading, trying to make money, and not blaming our members. Those kind of self promotions in whatever coating/wrapping isn't tolerated on BHW at least. Try WF or DP. :)

P.S.:

Even if it is not a self-promotion, then it is better to request a mod to remove the post/thread if possible, if it is backfiring on you NEEDLESSLY in your opinion. The rant isn't going to produce any soothing effect ever, in fact it will hurt you more in return. Be a sport and move on with a smile. There shall be plenty of opportunities to make great friends if you don't act like or begin to act like an ever-weeping-boy. GL, and Welcome! :)

Seriously now, you said you've been lurking for a couple of months, you should know what pisses people here off. That is when newbies promote/ask/name websites nobody has ever heard of, it mostly is self promotion. There were so many times when people came with "Hey, I discovered this website ... bla bla bla... free SEO/other stuff ... bla bla bla ... What do you think about it?"
And so many times, a simple WHOIS check would show that the website is few days/weeks old. Also, there has been a lot of SPAM on BHW lately. My advice would be the next time you have questions, start by an introduction thread, make yourself a little known and let people know who you are (not personal data) and why you came to BHW, this adds a lot of trust for a new account.

Also, I can see you've received and honest and serious answer, just ignore the other guys:

Only good if your site is very new and the links aren't great IMO.

Also we get very suspicious when brand new members try to post links/ask about products/services because many of them are just carrying out self promotion.

Don't take offense at the comments above because you will understand when you have been a member for awhile.

Next time before asking about a tool, do a quick search of the forum and you will probably find an answer. Good Luck

Wow. So much action since i stepped away from the computer. lol Much love to Lord1027 for actual input on the original question i posed. To clarify, that wasn't my first post and I did give a slight intro for myself the other day. As far as comments as my rant being juvenile....it was intended for both entertaining and venting purposes. If ppl want to be uptight that's fine by me.

But I was wondering if any of you guys have tried out the new facebook-twitter-bangbros email scrapper? Its really awesome! PM me for details......JUST KIDDING!

I really think subzero is the gayest character in Mortal Kombat. He threw ice at people and that was just cheat mode. Same with Scorpion. Cheat mode. I think whenever you beat either subzero or scorpion, you should always do a fatality.

Considering that this is a ranting thread, negative comments are to be expected....It is the premise of my entire post. So i'm not too concerned who posts what here on this thread.. Im pretty sure most of the comments here I "liked" out of good humor.

It's when I pose a legitimate question and people decide to add input that isnt helpful that is annoying.
 
Aha! It is quite clear now that you will keep up with your annoyingly legimate rant until we don't answer your legitimately annoying question..... OK, fire your question here and we all will try to answer it without less annoyance to you... Fire!
