All pre paid mastercards work the exact same way. You dont get a renewal unless you specify it. And any money you leave in there you lose. I lost a good few quid with Fairfx and customer support was pretty much "Yolo Bitch".

This card will be the exact same actually it looks like they start charging you if the card is inactive. The cards are great if you are organised but for dopes like me that forget they have money in there they are dangerous so just be aware
