There is a method on here already that's very similar to this one. I had a brief look but couldn't find it

I set up 15 sites, they all ranked, but only sold the top spot on 3 of the sites via sending emails. That's why I mentioned phoning them in the thread. I'm sure it would produce better results as a lot of the emails are likely to get disregarded.

The original method was just a general content site and they where selling banner ad space to the businesses, I added the top five list as a twist to the method and also as a unique selling point.

Also the original method included ranking the site in google using tier 1 web 2.0's a and GSA links to the web 2.0's, I chose to concentrate on yahoo and bing to speed up the process.

So you made 3 sales through emails
And you have put the work into 12 other sites but haven't made sales.
And you are sure you would make more sales if you made phone calls
But you haven't made any phone calls?

sale calls is a big difference from sending emails and requires a certain level of confidence that not every one has

Wow someone has rehashed Veyrons rehashed rehashed rehashed thread from. At leat you had the decency to change it to photographers instead of dentists. I suspect though, just like Veyrons, you do not even implement this method.

A whole lot of "methods" were never actually tested by the guys posting them so this does
not surprise me one diddly bit. A lot of misinformation out there.

I'll bet almost everyone who tried that method didn't even put 5 minutes effort into thinking of a different profession.

I'm sure there's now money to be made by calling dentists and offering to shield them from calls from lazy, spoonfed IMers

There's a nice twist on a rehashed method!

very interesting idea. Could be replicated in a more legit fashion but actually creating a portal for the city and the residents to find coupons, deals, etc as well.
