Finding Domains for PBN

Hello,

For those of you that build PBN (private blog networks) what do you use to get your domains. Having read tutorials the good domains shown at places such as Domcop & Expired domains.net are already registered as soon as they are listed, and the rest are spammed to death.

Where to people really go to get the best domains? Do you use a bot? How would a bot work?

If you don't mind spending a bit of cash then you can use a domain broker. They will find you clean domains with good metrics.

You can actually find some decent ones with expired domains.net as long as you do your homework!

There's a great method on this site which helps you get expired domains for cheap. I could probably find the link for you but it's best that you learn how to use the search function as quickly as possible. it will serve you well. good luck

Using a domain broker would be your best bet at getting strong domains. Another option is to use godaddy auctions but you have to be prepared to pay a higher price because those domains are aged and not dropped domains like you will get with domain brokers.

Strong domains take manual work (not talking about handjob here), and sometimes to be the highest bidder on auctions.

You can always get a great domain if you have a good budget (hint, $100 is not a good budget). I wanted to buy a PR7 domain (real PR7) on SEDO today and the lowest possible offer was $500. I offered $501 and his counteroffer was $2000.

There is a good number of high quality domains on expireddomains.net and registercompass.org, but you will have to engage in a bidding war to win them and you will end up paying more than what the domain is worth.

Sorry, but that's rubbish. As Seo Power rightly said, there's PLENTY of strong domains out there, it just takes a bit of leg work to find them. You can bet though that you probably won't be the only one with your eye on them and can expect to pay (sometimes a lot) more.

This. While I do not have great skills, I managed myself to get some good domains. Didn't personally use them, just sold them for a small profit, it was mostly a test to see whether I can find good domains. It's really not that hard.

The Xenu method still works but you have to be prepared to put in serious hours of checking domains to find the gems. Or build/buy a scraper that does more of the legwork for you. Or, as others have said, use a broker.

I actually use a bot because it is a numbers game. You have to go through thousands and thousands of domains to find good ones whether it is on drop lists or crawling millions of pages. And just to give you an idea on metrics, I recently gave a VA a list of domains to check. There were 10,000 domains which were DA 20+ that he spam checked and he only found 11 DA 30+ which he considered to be clean.

If you got the money save yourself the hassle and buy them from the BST section or godaddy auction.
Or if you care only about the link profile of the domains scrape them yourself. Search authority sites in your niche and scrape their outbound links. Then check which sites are dead and available for registration.
Once you find those, do the dirty job and check each site manually:
- whois (usually best to avoid multiple drops/registrars),
- webarchive (check for redirects, spam content, previous used as pbn),
- entire link profile,
- anchor text distribution.

Gotta perform due diligence by hand. There's lots of things you should check about a domain, some of those things are not easy to automate, like to detect previous spam.

As like OP's stated above you can't find domains with all metrics by using BOT. Also, we don't use bot for hunting domains. We need to search for the good domains manually in the trusted sites GoDaddy and DomCop, expireddomains.net. For some quality domains you need to place bid as well.

I have seen on some blog a site advertising called 'dexpireDOTcom' - checked it out and bought a few domaisn I liked the other day - sometimes websites like this pop up and come back as a new name when they have found domains. Other than that I use expiredomains and filter the sh*t out of them! It's getting too expensive these days though, good solid domains you'd pay 50-100$ for are now 200$
