which domain registrar is best?

Actually i thought to register 1 domain with Godaddy but i have seen bad reviews in google about godaddy.

Can i proceed with godaddy?

This is the first time iam buying domain.

In godaddy account creation phone number format not matching with my phone number.Iam from india i tried giving my mobile and landline number so many times but failed to register bcoz of phone number.
In Godaddy the format is +91.1234564430 but normally we write +911234567890.
help me in this regard.
