Thanks for your reply Jim - I left it for a few hours and have just tried again and it appears to be running fine! I was running 30 threads and yeah, it just kept giving me "bad proxy" for certainly 15mins - I'll let you know if it happens again, but as of this moment, all appears well - thanks again!

Just a quick notice to all users that haven't noticed; I have just released the latest update and all users are advised to update. This includes improvements to outputting proxies to a file and a proxy source update.

Also it has been asked if we collect your checked proxies and publish / sell your proxy lists like other proxy harvesting software and I would like to unequivocally state that we absolutely do not do this. I know that other popular proxy harvesters have this nefarious secret use but No Hands Proxies does not do this and I do not have any website or service that releases any kind of proxy list.

I just wanted to mention that as I don't think it is fair for users to buy a software and effectively feed the sellers' other services. I don't think users should be exploited like that when they have paid for something.

I just downloaded and installed the NH proxy trial. It is now currently feeding NHSEO, NH Pinger and NH Indexer. I will also use these with scrapebox and shortly GSA. Now I don't have to bother increasing my private proxies subscription.. Marvelous!!

So the bottom line is... HIT THE BUY BUTTON.. Save yourself some hard cash while at the same time boosting the capabilities of your present tools!!! Works a treat and plugs the ever growing need-for-more-proxies gap!!!

Hey jimbobo,

So after a long time I returned to my unused VPS and tried to use No Hands Proxies with my newly purchased copy of scrapebox.

Unfortunately a lot of keywords are failing search and I'm getting only a few hundred URLs on each harvest. So I tested the proxies via scrapebox itself, and most of them have errors such as error timeouts, 403, 404, 302, etc. I configured these proxies proxies to be transparent and google passed, and at any time there are around 100-150 proxies in the file.

i will give you temp access to my VPS. Can you see if you can troubleshoot the problem?

Also tested with GSA SER. Tested immediately after loading the proxies (file is updated every minute). Even then only 50% of proxies were working. So obviously it isn't a problem with just Scrapebox.

@Monie - 302 is not an error it is a redirect. If the redirect is followed the search will more often than not succeed just fine. I would be surprised if SB or other tools do not follow these redirects, NHSEO for example has no issues following a redirect to have a successful search. e.g. I just tested a list of 160 proxies that were output about 15 mins ago now and 126 were still usabled for searching Google, it's not 100% but its a lot more than 50% and shows that there is no issue.

I spent a lot of time with another customer this week going through everything showing over and over that the test is working fine so I am very confident there are no issues with the testing or outputting of the proxies. As I told that user; Google proxies are tested by actually doing a search in Google and checking that there are results returned from that search so there is no ambiguity in whether they can be used for searching.

At time of testing the proxies are working for searching as they have actually been used for doing a successful search. If your "Retest Working Proxies" time is set higher than 15 minutes you could try lowering it, I find around 12 minutes to be a decent time to ensure you are still getting a fresh list.

Update: Just tested another 80 proxies from a new run in NHSEO's proxy checker and 67 of the 80 were still working in Google.

OK. So I tested proxies with GSA SER again. There were 300 proxies in the file, and 150 of them passed the test. Also getting an LPM of 7-14 with all engines checked.

Seems to be a problem with Scrapebox.

Oh, when will I stop running into technical problems.

Well I did some testing and GSA does seem to follow the redirect on certain proxies (the ones where following the redirect is necessary) but the tester is limited and just seems to return a bad search with otherwise working proxies but it seems to work when GSA is actually doing a search as part of its posting so the proxies can be used in GSA just that the tester doesn't seem to like them.

You can set No Hands Proxies to test against any website you like. If you want to check against an SSL site simply setup a website and some text on the page to check for and No Hands Proxies will automatically check them against that website.

The software works fine for me.
These are public proxies, so they die quickly, which is to be expected.
