I wasn't sure where to post this thread so I decided to post this here in the Lounge. If this needs to be in a different place, mods please move this. Thank you!
Hello BHW!
I'm actually an international student studying in the States with a student visa. As I know, the student visa does not allow me to earn as long as I'm in the States. As a result, I don't have to pay taxes.
Right now, I'm about to receive some payments from Amazon. I wish to use the direct deposit with my Wells Fargo checkings account. Is this safe in terms of "not allowed to earn"? Would the government or anyone detect that I'm "earning"? I'm unclear of this. If anyone could clarify this for me, that would be fantastic.
Thank you!
