My question: how to target valuable reader on Fb who are ready to take action on your CPA offer.

Glad to find your thread here ...
I have some questions, since I'm also promoting EDU offer with FB ads

1. How do you find audiences for EDU offer? It's kinda hard to find targetted people who are looking for a teaching class for example.
I think, There is no way to find people who are in need for grants/find certain classes/programs.
2. Some people recommend me to to oCPM to reach more audiences. Did you also did oCPM also?
3. What kind of image works best for EDU offer? What image size do you use? for Newsfeed ad of course.
4. Can you tell me where do you find EDU offers? what CPA network do you recommend?

I hope you answers my questions.
THX

Thanks OP. I've been playing with FB ads for a short time and have learned enough to generate some 100%+ ROI campaigns, though I'm still barely breaking even with all the experimenting. I'd like to push some higher payout CPA offers, and was hoping to get your thoughts.

Let's say we're content to make a measly $500-1k per day. We don't have access to an expensive cloaker, VPS, or multiple ad accounts and want to get our feet wet without too much risk.

What if we did something like this:

1. Choose a niche, let's say home security, and find a CPA product that matches.
2. Set up a simple website, or even write a solid article on a site like Medium with a strong call to action linking to the product
3. Scrape UIDs for relevant audiences and set up the FB ad campaign

Granted, that's pretty whitehat, but it seems like it would be safe enough, and I imagine if you have solid copy, headlines, ad creatives it would convert well.

Thanks again for the insight you shared so far.

Interesting read, but this IS information that is easily available if you search around. Your harder problem is getting a steady supply of accounts as agency is obsolete very soon On FB. You have until January with Gray accounts

This is something im looking to do as well. Guess ill do some homework to find a good cloaker

hi :D awesome thread.

1-is 40$ enough for me to start?
2-how much a good cloacer cost?
3-what networks would you recommend me to enter ?
4-how long does it take you to get you earnings on paypal so that you can invest it in again ?

I dont get it. Where are the tips? I am interesting in learning about facebook ads :).

Hi OP,

Thanks for the valuable thread.

Just a quick question: is it viable/profitable to make "white hat ads" without using cloaking? I know it all depends on the offer and targeting but still a valid question I suppose.

Thanks,
John

Of course white hat ads are profitable otherwise FB would be out of biz. You have to have a really solid funnel and backend to make it work. Takes a lot of trial and error.

Proper research and targeting.

1) Retargeting & proper targeting is honestly the key. Use things such as Qwaya to split test different audience segments.
2) oCPM does work, actually FB is moving more towards this than CPC ads.
3) You need to use an image that FB accepts with less than 20% text. Split test your top 20 images.
4) I can't tell you but look around on the forums and ask people you trust for a referral.

You could definitely do this as well. Just be prepared to lose a lot of money upfront while your learning.

Buying accounts is old. Make your own, cost much less too :)

1) No
2) $20-$3,000 per month
3) Cant recommend one
4) Depends on how you get paid and when

Read the previous post. I tried offering short answers to peoples questions.

What do you think about setting up a conversion tracking pixel, and after you got your first 100 clicks/conversions create a lookalike audience and switch to cpm instead of ocpm/cpc?
After reading trough your thread i completely changed my strategy... i will post the results if anybody interested.

EDIT: do you think cb direct linking could work with fb ads?

Quick question, do you read? If so can you recommend some go-to books for marketing? I've read everything Gary V but wanna' go a little deeper on the subject.

Thanks!

When creating Facebook accounts, wouldnt all VPS/proxies reflect "datacenters" automatically making it suspicious when you try and run ads? Im in California... I have access to cards, just limited on ip solutions here..

Thanks for Continuing your tips!

A question I have for you is if you like to just use "pure" power editor. or if you rely on any helper tools. Things like Qwaya, Adespresso, Social Ad Ninja.... I have tested a few and there's certainly many I've not heard of, but was just wondering if you grew it raw or found something indispensable to help, especially to allow you to scale.

Thanks!

Edit: Going back through prior answers I see you said that Qwaya was useful for split-testing segments and that Social Ad Ninja was not that great - so I guess I'd re-phrase to ask if there's other tools you find indespensible (aside from photoshop lol).

MMO/Browser Games to promote on Facebook Ads is in your opinion good option? Can it be profitable?

1)

Any advice on landing pages? I feel you must be master at landing pages, even more than at ads.

What do you think about leadpages and optimizepress2 ?

2)

If you were to run your own business with lets say 100 EUR monthly membership digital product, what model of advertising would you use? You can't use cloaking and any other blackhat stuff.

a) Facebook ads that sell your product straight away
b) Facebook ads that send people to landing page with opt-in . Retargeting on those who did not optin.
c) Facebook ads to valuable content without opt-in. Then retargeting that promotes free opt-in offer.

I know many people hate when they are sent from ad to opt-in page so some people find it useful to warm them up first with good content.

Your CPC might be higher but conversion way better when it is time to sell them this expensive subscription product (you have big margin on the product so sale conversions are more important than price of clicks).

Hello,

I'm newbie just like my name said it all :). I have a questions:

AD => Redirect Domain => Cloaker => Tracking Link => Landing Page
- AD = FB Ads
- Redirect Domain = Understand this
- Cloaker = Need to read more but have an idea of what it is
- Tracking Link = Goo.gl, Bit.ly??? Or 202?
- Landing Page. This is the one I don't understand. Could anyone please explain this.

Thank you

UID scraping is against the TOS and Ive "heard" of people getting banned doing it (but can not confirm this). If you want to target people that have liked a certain fan page or something you can easily target them in ads manager.

Using scraped emails of ACTIVE users of a page/fan page through softwares like Social Lead Gold would lead to a more targeted ad than all the people who've liked a certain page/fan page.

1. Can you confirm that Custom Audience is going to result in a ban?
2. Facebook as well as some other social networks are censored in my country so I use VPN to access them. Can I use my friend's CC from Australia for Facebook ads and manage my account through my regular VPN without the risk of getting banned? I'm going to use White Hat so no cloaking.

Perhaps Mods may help him edit the thread to prevent further abusive language?

OP, 'guru' is an expensive lesson.. Many many gurus down here but not as generous as you
