Domains with the .restaurant extension

I am contemplating buying a .restaurant domain for a local blog but was wondering if you guts thought this extension to be a waste.

I see nothing special about gtld's. It may work in the long run, but for the foreseeable future .com is still king IMO.

I use .solutions extension for my website.
I think it is not good for seo, but it could convert well due to its relevance.

I get my traffic from advertising, bec i hate seo anyways

I don't think .restaurant domains are meant for blogs :| Well, you won't know unless you try.

There are too many of these now. Makes it confusing to average people. If I see a business card and it says "Visit me at cool.ninja" I'm not gonna know what to do.

That's a good point but you will lose lots of business since your average person is a non.ninja
