Buying traffic brings any advantages?

I'm making almost nothing right now. My current goal is to build up traffic by providing quality content, spreading the word using watermarked images and backlinks, doing some basic seo stuff, etc.
As soon as I get more content I may consider to buy a seo package.
The thing is that I don't know if buying traffic, even targeted one, will bring any benefits or may even hurt.

Waste of money. The best quality traffic is from video. If the video is of a person, the traffic will feel like they met the expert, and will then purchase. People buy from people.

In my opinion, it is okay to buy traffic. On the other hand, make sure that the traffic you are going to buy is targeted - one that is specific for the kind of niche that you have chosen to pursue. Otherwise, it would just be a waste, not only of money, but of effort, as well.

Buy blog posts on related blogs that has high traffic. Only related blogs which related to your niche.

For what I have read around here, exoclick seems to be unreliable. There are too many complaints.

Monetizing isn't the priority. I want to build up traffic 1st. What I would like to get from paid traffic is exposure, some returning visitors out of the thousands that are sent to my blog and maybe a small SE improvement.

Buying traffic will definitely give you advantages, but there are a lot of factors to be filtered before buying it. Make sure the provider is legit and giving you real traffic. It should come from your niche related sites which will convert well for you. Do your due diligence before committing anything.
